takes a bit more time than 10 minutes to fully rehydrate
This was a very tasty trail stew! I always have to add more seasonings as I like spicy and garlicky foods so I added some black pepper and about a teaspoon of dehydrated onions to the package before adding the boiling water - it was quite good! I would recommend if you want a bit more filling and heartier stew add a couple of tablespoons of dehydrated rice to this and keep the water the same - overall a four star rating only thing that would make it better would be about 3 more tablespoons of beef in it but the beef in it was good and tender and rehydrated quite well!

Bland and paste-like
This was my first time trying this brand. The pesto was bland, and the texture of the pasta was soft and mushy. I was initially concerned about the amount of water (2 1/4 cups) relative to the dry ingredients, but the cellulose gum absorbed it, forming a nice gel. While not a major concern given how I use freeze-dried foods, it is worth noting that the shelf-life is only about 5 years.

Picky eater's review
I think I could probably get through it if I had nothing else to eat but I just skipped a meal instead.Following the directions exactly The food didn't seem to fully rehydrate. The texture was okay but The seasoning wasn't very strong and there was a weird taste. The potatoes did not taste anything like potatoes.

Disappointing and best left on the shelf.
Don't waste your time on this product. I just got back from a 4 day backpacking trip through Paria Canyon. We saved this meal for the last night thinking it would be spectacular, because of the sweet potatoes. It was remarkably flavorless. The sweet potato chunks were bland and barely identifiable as sweet potato. I haven't had any other meals from this manufacturer, so I can't attest to them as a whole, but this meal will provide you with nutrition needed to survive, and sadly not much more. We bought at Arizona Hiking Shack.
