Installed on a 2018 Cruze. Install takes 5-10 minutes, depending on how easily you can get your hands into the area. Been on for 2 days, auto stop/start hasn’t activated once, and the couple times I’ve used my remote start is still works. Will update in the future with longevity and functionality over time. So far, love it. Update as of Aug 26: Had it on for just under 2 months now. Still works great. Auto stop hasn’t came on once, and remote start works every time, and never any warning lights. Wonderful product and for sure beats out the $150 alternative of getting a tune to do the same thing. Worth every penny. Update as of April 2023, still working great. Auto stop/start still deactivated. No warning lights or hood open warnings. Great buy, definitely recommend!

Our 2017 Cadillac XT5 has driven us NUTS with the Start-Stop for 3 years! We love the vehicle but have actually considered trading it in as this "Technology" drives us so crazy! There is nothing more terrifying than being in the middle of nowhere in the dark and stopping at a stop sign to have the engine COMPLETELY TURN OFF!! This is neither safe nor smart! My constant fear is that it won't start again and we will be broken down. This start-stop is also apparently very hard on the engine and the battery which we have already had to replace once for $450!! This is a $20 piece that installed easily once we figured out where it went (Thank you YOUTUBE!!!) is a NO-BRAINER to solve this terrible, frustrating problem! BUY THIS PART and drive SMOOTHLY and WITHOUT FEAR! PLUS, Now you won't have to warn your passengers before coming to a stop that this is "normal" for this vehicle to shut off otherwise they panic and think the car just died! 5 STARS!!

Easy install. Works great. Even feels like the car's got more get up while driving and it doesn't pause as long anymore when you break and go. Love love love it. And no more turning the engine off at every little stop in traffic. It'll probably save you replacing a starter also. Because mine started to go at only 43K miles. I had a violent jerking of the wheel after car went to stop mode and started when the steering wheel was in turn position. This is not supposed to happen and a very bad a dangerous thing. NO RECALL or TSM anywhere from Chevy!?! Well this fixes it apparently. Been fixed for over a year now as of this writing, just by adding this auto start stop disabler. Thank God! Because the dealership wanted an arm and a leg just to diagnose, and my local chevy dealer has the WORST customer service ever. Such a headache trying to do anything with them.

A lot of newer vehicles are forcing consumers to have to live with this auto-stop feature, which from all accounts I have researched is horrible for both the battery and the starter. This product is inexpensive, but is very easy to install and works like a champ. The main reason I decided to add a review was to let folks know that after installing the product, the little light (the A with the circle indicator) does stay on, but the auto-stop functions of my vehicle no longer cause me an issue. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and the vehicle no longer turns off when I come to a stop. I can live with the light being on as it is a small switch that doesn't bother me, but the not having the engine turn off anymore is wonderful. Kudos to whoever came up with this device and I hope you get filthy rich from it. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is tired of having their engine automatically turn off at stop signs and lights. For those who need the info, I installed this on a 2022 GMC Terrain.

Extremely easy to install and works perfectly. The light on my dash stays on making it appear like the function is enabled but it’s really not. The light makes no difference to me because it’s next to all my fan and air buttons so it just blends in. Finally that stupid auto off crap has stopped. That function is nearly as stupid as the sensors telling me I have a flat tire. Over engineering a car is just stupid.

I am not sure why some people are having trouble with this item. Even the instructions, specifically tell you, if you invert the switch plugs, you are going to lose some functionality of the item, have a check engine light notification, and will likely lose your remote start. Comes with a couple of photos showing how it "should" look when correctly installed. It literally took me 10 minutes to install, and that's only because I pried up the entire dust cowling unnecessarily--the wire was behind it, and I thought it was under it. Oh, well. I should've searched more thoroughly before taking the cover off. But, at least in my case, the thing works perfectly. I still have remote start and no warning lights from the dash. If you've found your way to this product, then you know what a relief it is (or would be) to defeat that auto-stop feature. And all for $20. I can hardly describe how happy I am to have that done away with.

I have a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu LS 2.5L 4-cylinder. I have had an issue with my vehicles auto-stop feature for a few years now. Whenever that feature would turn on, most of the time when I let go of the brake, the car would not turn back on. I would then have to wait a few minutes until my car was able to turn back on. PAIN IN THE ASS, this year of car did not come with the button that allows you to turn off the auto-stop feature. I purchased a $200 sensor that would connect to the OBD2 port but it would drain my battery over time if I did not remove it for one day a week. Also, whenever the car’s Low Fuel light would turn on, the sensor would no longer work until I put enough gas in to have the light go away. This wire is EXTREMELY affordable and VERY easy to install with NONE of the negatives that my $200 sensor has.

Works like it's supposed. The auto start/stop is deactivated and no cel. Weirdly seems like mpg went up 1 as well after install. That being said the instructions on how to install are almost worthless. Look for the same looking plugged in cables right near the hood release under the hood in the engine bay near the radiator. You should be able to open the hood and find a cable that goes to where you release the hood with the same looking plug connected. Disconnect that plug. You have press down the colored release tab to separate them. Wiggle them apart. Plug the thing you bought into each plug it will only go one way, do not force it in a different way. Once it's all plugged up start the vehicle make sure all is working. Then turn the vehicle off and use the zip ties to secure it so it's not flapping about. And you're good to go. If you're still under manufacturer warranty you may want to take it out before any services or anything. They probably won't notice but not worth the hassle imo. But 5 stars for the actually product. Minus 1 star for the bad instructions.

Was skeptical at first, but for how much I hated the auto stop feature in my 18 Cruze (big plug) it was worth the risk. (auto stop selenoid in my transmision is not working correctly so this was another reason) I installed it in -20'C so plastic was super cold just be carefull and take your time. Toke me about 20 mins to install it. No lights came on, remote start still works & security system still works (was wondering that since it's pathed thru the hood latch sensor. And the bonus, if you still have warranty it's super easy to remove it before going to the warranty center.
