Much better than expected...
Sometimes the quality of pipe fittings is a little dicey at Amazon, but these are nice. The forgings are neat are well polished, the threading is cut cleanly and by all appearances to specifications. They install easily threads seal up with minimal amount of joint compound, and everything seems to hold pressure just fine. I would buy these again.

Use a good thread sealant NOT Teflon tape
If you use the SS nipples with the valves use a high quality pipe dope.. like leak lock. Both nipples leaked on me at 50lb pressure using tape. pvc male adptr threaded into the other end of the valve using tape did not leak.I redid the threads on the nipples with leak lock, no more leaks. The valves when closed stopped flow without leaking.

Good little valve
I like the handle sticking up a bit, less pinch chance. Nylon lock nut. Great so far, no leak whatsoever liquid, argon gas next (I’m not over 40psi)

Engineering problem with these valves.
These valves look great, seem to be well engineered but they have a major problem that the maker of needs to address.. They work fine when the valve is in open position but the leak through the ball stem when in the closed position and even moderate pressure is applied. This makes them as an on/off valve unusable.

Yup it works
Not top quality but for the money you can't beat it, easily pay 1.5X more at big box stores for just one valve and no nipple fittings, here you get 2 of each... winner in my book.

Bad threads
They are 304, look like investment castings. The female threads in the valves look nice, but are all cut too deep. The supplied nipples have a hex in the middle. Due to the depth of the female threads in the valve, the nipple hex bottoms out against the valve. When I used a standard iron close nipple, the valve bottoms against the adjoining fitting. I turned down the valve (shortened in a lathe) to avoid this. Now the nipple bottoms out inside the valve. So disassembled again, to shorten the nipple end. This happened on both ends of the valve. The other valve, which I haven't needed yet, appears to be the same dimensions, so will have the same problem. The nipples seem ok. Together and apart, multiple times, for this dumb valve. I would have returned it, but needed to finish the job. VERY annoying. The ball valve itself isn't a full flow type, but I knew that before ordering, it's OK. 1/2 npt is overkill for most plumbing anyway. Looks like someone made an OK valve, then dropped the ball on QC. That ruined it, sorry, the nice appearance and stainless steel don't make up for this small but important detail. See review below by "Deb". Same problem. They are not 1/2 NPT threads, whether or not they call them that. 20 or 30 thousandths too big makes them junk..too much for a little extra Teflon tape to fix.
