Hydro Floss is awesome and addictive. Once you get used to using it, it freaks you out of if you have to go a few days without it, like if you go on vacation or something. My only complaint is that they only last about three years of heavy use before they start to not work as well and you have to buy another one. I recently purchased my fourth one over a 12-year period.

I had a water pik but was told this was better for plague etc. I haven't noticed any benefit. But, maybe it needs more time. I have a couple of big complaints about the product itself: the contact for the container to the base unit is poor - or at least on mine. So if I've taken the water container off of the base, to drain it and clean it, it's hard to get the container back on lined up and working to spray the water out of the tube. Then all that can be done is to press the container down onto the base with one hand while spraying your teeth/gums with the other hand - bit awkward and not right. The other complaint is the noise. It's a whiny irritating noise, so I try to keep the base farther away from my head while it's running. And the tube isn't as easy to keep neat and properly coiled as was the water pik.

So, if you do order this product from Amazon, be very sure you do not exceed Amazon's return date if you think something not working properly with this product.
