Lamplight Medallion Lamp Oil - 32oz, clear (60005)

Fine. Value. Very, very slight odor, clean burn. Was not planning to use indoor, but after using outside I'd have no issues bringing it inside. Using in a vintage Dietz railroad signal lantern.

I will use Medallion until someone points to a better oil. My wife has a very sensitive nose, and came down to the basement and asked me what the odor was. This was with Ulta-Pure.

Used this before. Standard fuel for oil lamps. This is a good choice in oil fuel. Consistent. Stores for a long time.

I used up all my lamp oil during Hurricane Helene. A reorder was in order. Oil is clear, very thin and odorless. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that I almost did not get the bottle open. I understand tightening the top to prevent leaking but jeez I am a not a strong man contender. Also the cap has very sharp indents. Next time I will dig out my chanellock pliers

I can not believe how little it smells while burning. I’ve used other brands in the past and the smell of all of them were way worse than this by a long shot! I don’t know how it could smell any less unless it wasn’t burning anything except maybe olive oil. It’s the best I’ve ever used.

I will never buy this brand again. First of all, for the price, you get very little. I could only fill up one of my oil lamps and it was empty. Also, it doesn't last long AT ALL. I've used oil lamps for many, many years and I've never seen an oil diminish so quickly. This whole bottle will get you maybe like 10 or so hours of burn time. And it is definitely NOT smokeless. It actually provides the most smoke of any oil I've ever used. After burning for about 5 minutes, the entire lamp turned completely black, as well as my curtains several feet behind where I keep the lamp. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I received this about a week ago and tried it out tonight because of active storm warnings in the area. On the pro side, the oil burns cleanly and brightly which is what I was hoping it would do. On the con side, the container has a thin neck that collapses when you push down and turn the lid to open it, and it smells when burning -- not like kerosene, but it is a chemical smell that I don't like having in the house. So I'll be using the fuel, but only when camping and not indoors, and I've transferred the oil to a Jerry can so I don't need to deal with bottle's neck. The only recommendation i'd make to the company is to thicken the neck of the bottle so we can open it without pushing the neck down.

It is what it is! As advertised. No smoke and works well.
