Fun and Fashion go hand in hand with the Double Dutch Dolls. Based on the multicultural Double Dutch Dolls book series, the girls have come to life as fashion dolls ready to be your forever friends. Navigating school can be tricky but identical twins Kaila and Zaria Bradley seem to have it all figured out. The girls are called the Double Dutch Dolls by all who know them because they are always together and always dolled up. Laidback, levelheaded Zaria describes herself as “classic cool”. She’s into soccer, science and keeping twin sister Kaila out of trouble. Together with her sister Kaila and friends Sascha, Alainna, Kadence and Trinity the girls bring new meaning to girl drama and girl power. Zaria is an all vinyl 18” African American fashion doll with fully posable arms and legs with extra joints at the elbows, knees and wrists so she can move just like you do. She can stand-alone, sit up or pose in many ways. Her curly, natural, 3-strand twist is too cute for words and since it’s wigged rather than rooted it better maintains its style. No brushing needed. To keep her stylish locs looking great, gently twist or finger comb her hair. She also has pierced ears for even more fashion fun (earrings sold separately). Her all-vinyl body is easy to wipe clean should she ever get dirty. Doll sold with fashion outfit: White Double Dutch Dolls logo tank, black hooded logo sweatshirt, fashion denim shorts, knee socks, underwear, and tennis shoes. This doll is slimmer than American Girl dolls.

Would have been a five, but...
I fell in love with this doll! I love everything about her... except the stains from her clothing. I really wanted to give this doll a five star rating, but the staining was pretty bad from the default outfit. Otherwise, I absolutely love this doll--I know I said that all ready, but I want to reinforce that she's not a bad doll by any stretch of the imagination. The only reason she is not a perfect five stars is because of the hoodie and the socks. I personally couldn't take care of her wig in the long run, so I would recommend this doll, if your child can be good and finger comb the curls. If not, I'd recommend her sister, Kaila, or the new character Sascha (when she comes out in January). She's very different from other 18-inch dolls I've encountered, and I would love to see more from this line. For the price, she's an amazingly durable companion. Even with having to replace the wig, the total cost was just over $83 (for the record, she takes a 9-10 or 10-11 inch wig). She holds poses very well, and she's very well balanced with or without her shoes. The only other issue I could see coming up is clothes sharing. She doesn't fit into clothes made for the standard 18" dolls, and the clothes made for the slim ones (like any of the Just Pretend dolls or Carpatina) are a bit too big for her, too. She can, funny enough, share shoes with some of my 1/4 ball jointed dolls (so look for shoes about with about 6.5 centimeters for the inner length).

Beautiful doll!!
My daughter likes it. Beautiful doll, very flexible and unique. Only issue is finding other clothes to fit it, we might try 14 Inch clothes. Also, if your child likes to combat the hair or plait or braid it then get her sister. She is gorgeous but her hair is curly and difficult for young girls to maintain, wish we had the sister. However, her hair can be put in a pony tail and it's good for girls with similar hair. She is a beauty!! I'm curious about washing her hair!!

Beware!!! Scary!!!
To me this doll was well... Very scary... The face was all wrong and she looked NOTHING like how she was advertised... I don't know if it was a defect or what but I can only write a review from the doll I got so if she isn't supposed to look old and scary i just got one with a major defect... I have already sent her back and I will not buy her or her sister for anyone ever...
