Being a Ryobi I knew it would be good but it's not... it's fantastic a brilliant bit of kit lightweight and easy to use very powerful and full of safety features so you don't cut anything off you shouldn't I highly recommend it.

These One+ secateurs are really good in use: better than expected. We were hoping that these would be useful for my Mum, who has arthritis in her hands, and make gardening easier for her when used with one of the smaller, lighter batteries (a 1.3 or 2.0Ah), but actually these are really handy for any of us to use.These powered secateurs will cut comfortably through slim branches - the kind of stuff you couldn’t do with regular secateurs as well as everything you could - quickly and with no strain or effort. They’re a real time saver, to say nothing of eliminating hand strain. With one of the larger 5.0Ah batteries they end up a little on the heavy side (too heavy for Mum to manage, but fine for the rest of us), but will run for ages.The one small negative we’ve found to these is the rapid engagement of the automatic lock safety feature. This activates after just four seconds of disuse - which is quite easy to get through just whilst moving a few snipped pieces - and requires a press and hold on a button on the side to unlock them again. It’s not a big deal, but a little disruptive when you’re mid-task.

Can't fault this bit of kit. Both wife and I use them in the garden whenever we are out there. Perfect.

Overall, this is a great tool. My main, minor complaint would be that the operation trigger is quite stiff, so forearms will aches after extended use. It also turns itself off a little too frequently. But other than that, the jaws are high quality and it cuts through branches with ease. It has made manual loppers almost redundant.

I was really looking for something like this. I did a lot of reading on them, and similar items, primarily to cut bamboo. More young bamboo, granted, less than an inch in diameter. It has a great hydraulic action, just cutting with the press of a button. I ended up clearing out a lot of bamboo and proceeded to do pruning on smaller trees with thick-ish limbs. It saved a lot of effort on my part. It does get a little heavy after an hour or so, but not too much and you can really use two hands, one just to support it. It saves a lot more effort than what's used to hold it, so I can't mark it down for that. It is balanced well.

Finding manual secateurs harder to use these days, my wife loves the Cordless Secateurs as they are perfect for cutting the slightly thicker branches on the hawthorn hedges that the Hedge Trimmers can't manage. Very reliable annd easy to use.

Quiet and powerful. Compliments Ryobi chainsaw, lopper and shredder. Made a good Christmas present.
