‘All of life comes to me with ease, joy and glory!’ – a valuable goal
Author Gary M. Douglas is the founder of Access Consciousness, an international empowering movement headquartered in Texas, and is a thought leader in transforming lives and creating different choices. He has now published over twenty books. Co-author Susann Mittermaier is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist and is highly respected for her first book PRAGMATIC PSYCHOLOGY: PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR BEING CRAZY HAPPY. She is also the founder of Pragmatic Psychology, and an Access Consciousness facilitator, and has been featured on radio and television programs and in magazines.Though this book is in the self-help category of publications, the sensitivity for caring steps beyond that genre into the realm of personal encouragement. As the authors state, ‘You are the only one who can unlock the points of view that have you trapped. The clearing process is a tool you can use to change the energy of the points of view that have you locked into unchanging situations.’The title of the book is defined as follows: “Pragmatic Psychology is about doing what works and empowering you to choose that which creates the life and planet you desire. Rather than being dramatic, rather than looking at what does not work and why, pragmatic psychology invites you to turn on the lights so that you can see what IS - and find out what choices you have that will create the future you want. This is about looking at the way things are in the world and seeing them from a different point of view. It’s about being in communication with everything and trusting what you know and what you are aware of. It’s also about knowing how to ask questions and choosing to do what works. When you do these things, you see how to create a different future for yourself and the planet.’ This statement permeates every page of this valuable little book.No matter the questions we have, this pragmatic psychology assists us in creating what is best and most rewarding - in financial findings, relationships, parenting, ‘self-marketing’ and working with people to put the productive elements of life into motion. Read and expand vision and philosophy with the practical tools the authors provide: this is an easily accessible guide for happiness. ‘If you realize you always have a choice, you can choose anything.’ Grady Harp, November 20

An Intriguing Look Into Pragmatic Psychology and How it Can Improve Your Life
Authors Gary M. Douglas and Susanna Mittermaier take a look at advanced pragmatic psychology. Inside, readers will learn more about this area and how it affects one’s life. The authors also give tips as to how you can improve your life by looking at even difficult situations with positivity. Some areas this book will discuss include how to be aware, pragmatic relationships, and helpful questions you can ask to inspire possibilities.Because the book dives into a somewhat technical topic, the beginning includes a short introduction into what certain terms mean, such as POD, Boys, and POC. Despite the vast amount of information, the authors carefully craft each chapter so that it’s easy to understand. They also include real-life examples and metaphors to help you better visualize the topic. At 122 pages, the book isn’t necessarily that long. This makes it perfect for those who want a short yet educational read.

empowering, non-judgmental and overall helpful
“Gary and Susanna invite you to turn what you have decided as wrongness about you into the strongness you can be.”From the introduction alone, I knew that this was going to be a good read. The concept of ‘pragmatic psychology’ caught my attention and while I had an inkling that this one was going to be empowering, what I liked about it the most was that it was an equal blend of warmth and directness. Yes, it does offer sensitivity to mental health issues—and---it also goes straight to leading to a path of wisdom and solutions…all without sounding judgmental.

Loved the pragmatic slant put on Access processes. The real examples of patients as well as Susanna herself were very helpful. The final chapter contains tools most relevant to life. Definitely recommend this book to those ready to move deeper into life’s owners manual.

There are so many topics covered in this book by Gary and Suzanna. There's no way this book won't benefit everyone. There's one catch though - you have to consider being happy and having a happy life as truly something that's possible.
