Yes, it’s very lightweight because it’s very thin and not at all what I expected. I chose this one due to all the good reviews but now I know why there’s so many photos with animals using it. I got a much better quality throw at Walmart and I expected more from this “blanket” It’s very soft, which I love but its far too thin. I’m afraid to ever wash it. Disappointed for the price it was and amhoping to help at least one person since there’s so many rave reviews. I should’ve stuck with my first choiceUpdate. It’s already starting to look matted. I got a throw from Walmart that I’ve had for months and its starting to look that way as wellbut it’s soft and thick still and it was far cheaper.Update: The seams are already coming apart and I take good care of it. I’ve only had it a few weeks. Very disappointed. Did I mention it’s not actually purple? It’s burgundy.

I loved this until I washed it. I washed it in cold water on my hand wash cycle, according to directions and dried it on gentle heat. I was disappointed because the red color ran to the white side of the throw.I've now washed it three times (see photo) and have also used three Carbona Color Grabers which are supposed to prevent color run. Unfortunately I am unable to remove the red color completely from the white side.
