The packaging is deceptive, it's only 500 mg per capsule. 1000 mg per "serving" which they define as two capsules.

I first stumbled upon this brand by accident, thinking they were another company of acetyl-l-carnitine (ALCAR) suppliers I had purchased from previously. In any case this is a high quality product, and it's just what I was looking for-- even slightly better priced than the other supplier I had purchased from previously. I wanted to get as much ALCAR as I could in as few capsules as possible, with no other extra ingredients. I also wanted to make sure the product was genuine, so I opened up a few capsules and tasted the product myself and, sure enough, the characteristic citrus flavor of ALCAR came through. Not only that, but I can feel its effects. It's great for the brain and all sorts of other health benefits can be enjoyed from this supplement-- so I'm glad I found a supplier that is trustworthy at a very good price. It's great for vegetarians like myself who wouldn't get very much of this amino acid naturally from our diets. It's also great for weight lifters and people who are into nootropics.

This is a fantastic product!! I have low thyroid function and heart problems. My hands and feet are ALWAYS cold. When others are wearing regular clothing I am layered for warmth. The benefits of this supplement are accumulative. If you forget to take it one time it is okay. I am WARM like a normal person again. I am not sure how this works but read about this supplement and decided to give it a try and I will be purchasing it again and again.
