Low price, fun, novel sound
Awesome little pedal with a unique sound. This pedal is half the price of any other decent synth pedal. It tracks amazingly and it's loud as hell. A few of the modes are iffy but over all I would recommend it. I played it today against a ehx mono synth and it genuinely held its own. I'm impressed. It's missing a volume knob though.

Works best with a digital multI effects companion great for the price
On its own it gets old fast even though it's extremely fun the effects aren't really something your going to use twice ,but where it really shines was with my boss multi effects ,the multi effects pedal adds alot more drive, and you can go in a change the parameters of each effect then turn into to synth with the E7,I found it worked way better with the multi effects then my analog pedals just because of the ability to adjust and ease of accessing hundreds of effects with a whole new synth sound.a game changer.it still plays more like a trigger with only so much sensitivity, but add in to an existing effect and you got a game changer.

Good pedal with a HUGE flaw
This a good pedal with one huge flaw that severely hampers its usability. The LFO on modes 3 (Sea Wave), 4 (Weeyo), and 5 (Sawtooth) makes them completely unusable for any application. This is not a subjective matter of taste, it is an objective fact. The depth and rate of the oscillator cannot be altered, and there is no way to turn it off. It completely drowns out my playing. One of the effected modes is named Weeyo and that's fitting because the "weeyo" of the LFO is all you can hear. Shocked that this flaw made it past the design phase. The E7 does have some significant strengths though. It tracks very well (comparable to my Boss SY-1), and I appreciate the ability to control the attack parameter and save presets for each mode (features the SY-1 lacks). The E7 has a USB port for firmware updates, so hopefully the atrocious LFO can be fixed in the future. However as of Feb 2023 no updates have been released. Until then, my opinion is that this pedal has some cool sounds and good qualities but I can't recommend buying it.

Certainly no substitute for the SY-1 or synth 9.
Good: -Small size makes it pedal board friendly -High and low cut filters -Mix knob -Arpeggiator -Trumpet, organ, and pad sound ok -Ability to save settings is cool and necessary -Less expensive way to try synth pedals -Interesting weird sounds -Polyphonic -Tracks very well -ok if you only need it as a gimmick. Bad: -Huge volume spikes -no volume knob -would benefit from a build in compressor like EHX 9 series pedals to level out the volume. Of course you could put one after. -Most tones are unusable In most normal types of music. -arpeggiator does one pattern and it gets annoying in under 5 minutes. -The tones are ok but not great. They sound pretty bad if not mixed it’s dry signal. I found myself adding just a hint of the effect because they quickly become unpleasant. - I found 3/7 tones useable. The others were too extreme and unpleasant and even blending them in just a bit didn’t sound great. -200ma power requirement. That’s a lot for a little pedal. Not a big deal, but it’s a consideration -would be nice if it had build in effects like chorus, vibrato, tremolo like other synth pedals because it sounds very dry without, I would have been happier with fewer synth sounds if they made them better and offered modulation effects. -narrow range of depth adjustment when it came to the LFO’s they are simply too loud and over power your dry signal. Conclusion: it’s about the same cost as the EHX mono synth and that offer many more features but is this stereophonic. It’s about half the price of the ehx synth 9 or boss sy-9 so it might be worth saving up for a better synth pedal if you really like to experiment with synth sounds. The sound quality just isn’t really great and I can’t see many pros using this. If I was a kid or just getting into music I would love how crazy and weird it is. Not a bad pedal, not a great pedal but at the price point it is too close to its far superior competitors.

Pretty good synth sounds, but needs a little help from other devices.
I have owned this pedal for only 2 days, but have checked out its capabilities fairly carefully. On its own, it is kind of limited, but has some usable synth sounds. The arpegginator function fades out with the note played, in other words, no latch to keep the groove. I solved this by using a sustain producing pedal ( Electroharmonix Super Ego) and a looper at the end of the chain. Now it sounds pretty cool. More experimentation required. This pedal is a good price also, is tiny and so far works well. More noise for me.
