When applying the grip it doesn’t seem that it will adhere very well, but once you get going it works well. Grip has a tacky feel in your hands. Last grip from this brand lasted 2 years with every day use by multiple players.

I like a thicker handle so I used the tacky tape as a precursor before the lizard skin wrap. It wasn’t as tacky as I thought it would be or should be.

I like the tackiness on the grip side of the tape. The inside of the tape does not have adhesive so I had to wrap tightly. The grips have small adhesive strips at each end to fasten the grip to the handle you’re covering.
