Surprisingly effective and robust.
I've never used an expandable hose before, but needed something which wouldn't take up too much space at the front of the garage, so I tried this one. I was attracted by the brass fittings and the mounting piece for storing the hose. I was skeptical at first, looking at the unfurled hose and thinking I had made a mistake. Then I turned on the tap (using the fittings was easy and they look like they'll last - there are different types for different taps, I guess). The hose (which must be fully rolled off the fitting before use) came to life and expanded as the water flowed. It has a superb reach and incredible pressure. I would add three other things of note:1) the spray gun that comes with the hose is excellent -no dribbles or leaks like some I've bought (I'm looking at you Hozelock);2) although it feels like you can pull it some more once it is fully extended, don't. It is not meant to be stratech by the user, the water does the job - the hose will become damaged over time through misuse;3) it is robust! It survived the garage door being unceremoniously dropped on it and seemingly cutting it in two! It was absolutely fine. Finally, when you've finished (and I didn't get any kinks, at least I haven't so far) spray the remaining water away - you'll get an idea of how the hose creates internal pressure by the way it still sprays quite forcefully.Well worth it.

Would never go back to traditional hose.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Absolutely fantastic product. No more having to untangle or unlink hoses during use or using one foot to hold the carrier steady. Quality appears very good and with careful use, it should last. The connections are perfectly secure and leak free. Every hose I’ve ever had before has leaked especially at the tap but not this one. It expands to the stated length of 50’. Amazon only allows one video upload so I demonstrated the fill however, the contraction when emptying is just as impressive and leaves the hose in its original, lightweight state. The nozzle is pretty standard with all the usual spray options. Works with my pressure washer. I’m not sure it’s recommended but luckily I have good water pressure and high flow so the demand of the pressure washer doesn’t cause the hose to shrink back much. Just don’t use it at full stretch. Comes with a handy tap/wall storage hook to store neatly on the wall and a bag to put it away and protect it during the winter months. Also 3 spare washers was a nice touch. It’s really very good.

It's got brass connectors!
Having owned expandable hoses before, and having used a few in other peoples gardens I'd noticed how you do tend to get what you pay for. So in replacing ours I was certain I wanted something more robust. This looked far better with sturdy quality brass connectors, including the tap connector, which gives far more confidence in those areas that I've noticed have failed on cheaper plastic models. The hose itself also feels and looks more premium with a well made attractive woven sheath which covers and protects the internal hose from damage, and expands and contracts neatly. The inner tube is said to be 'multilayered and strong latex'. In fact the hose claims to be 3 times more durable than typical 2 ply hoses, with no leaks no kinks, and it certainly looks and feels as though it might be. Although I will take the advice of the instruction leaflet not to tug and mistreat it! The trigger gun has 9 spray patterns, including the ever useful mist setting to spray the kids in hot weather! I guess I've used twenty or more spray guns in my time and experience has led me to choose metal guns in the belief that they are stronger and less likely to break when dropping. The one with this hose is however ABS plastic, and the ABS bit leads me to believe it should take quite a beating before giving up. Only time will tell. The addition of a rubberised grip to the trigger will certainly help prevent wet hands dropping it. Finally, you get extra washers for your brass fittings, a draw string carry bag (it's a good idea to store hoses in a shed over winter) and a hose hanger which eases carrying and can be hooked up in the shed for neat storage, or over the tap when in use.Expandable hoses.. I was against them.. but this one promises to change my mind.

Brilliant. Just what was needed.
My wife's the gardener and has been complaining our old hose was leaking so I snapped this up as prezzie for her (too romantic I know).Happily she is over the moon with it. I've watched it expand and then contract like magic and I have to say if feels a lot lighter when moving about than the old traditional hose did (that was a bit like snake wrestling..).The multi pattern head seems decent enough and has a good selection pf spray patterns. Also comes with a wall hanger to loop the contracted hose around so it takes up much less space that traditional hoses.Highly recommended.

Just what I needed!
I’ve been looking for a decent hose for a while and stumbled upon this one. Firstly, it is very long so I don’t have to worry about reaching the end of my garden to use it. It is also extremely powerful, we were considering getting a jet wash but I don’t think we will need to anymore. There is a great amount of settings, and you will easily find one for the job you want to complete. The hanger is a bonus as it means you don’t have to worry about the hose being all messy in your garden!

Neat and tidy quality hose and accessories
The does exactly as it describes. It’s long and flexible, fully extendable and durableThe hose itself does contain brass connectors which secure with no leaks. The connectors had to be pulled back to be put on the tap fitting then released as would not simply push and click on like your typical hozlock connectors. When tidying away it’s best to knock the tap off and then press the trigger to release the water pressure to shrink back down and the handy plastic tidy makes it hang neatly on the tap rather than a clumsy reel or loose hose hanging around the garden or shed. Or fancy putting it away it comes in a handy bag for the winter. The spray nozzle is good and durable with plenty of options and is better quality than a well known brand one that was recently purchased. All round it’s a quality hose pack
