Affordable, easy installation
With the WFH craze happening due to these unprecedented times, I was looking for a sit/stand desk that wouldn't break the bank. After sifting through dozens of different brands, I decided to give TOPSKY a try, as it had dual motors and had a high value prospect.Packaging:I was extremely surprised how well the frame was packaged. Each piece was protected by thin cellophane wrapping and there even mini wood inserts to separate each piece from one another. I did notice there were fingerprints on a few of the pieces, so it looks like there is some manual intervention before these are completely packaged, but that wasn't enough to negatively impact the overall score of the frame.Installation:If you take a few minutes to understand the logistics of the frame, it makes a lot of sense. You're going to be relying on the diagram pictures from the installation manual, and trying to match the necessary included screws. Mostly everything lined up well, with the exception of one of the legs with the motor. By design, there was NO way a screw was going to fit (the motor is blocking any chance for the screw to be able to securely fit into the hole). All in all, it took a little less than two hours to completely assemble the frame.Table Top:This does NOT come with a table top, if you haven't noticed already. I purchased a BEKANT table top from IKEA with 55" width and it works completely fine. There are already pre-drilled screw holes on the BEKANT, but you can easily ignore them and drill your own holes. Have a power tool ready, and installing a table top only takes a few minutes. I understand TOPSKY is in the middle of procuring some custom-made ones for these frames but they were not available when I ordered the frame.Alternatively, you could buy butcher's block from your local hardware store and give it some treatment as a tabletop. I've also heard good results of using any slab of wood thick/heavy enough and not even needing to screw it in, but I'd have concerns of overall safety (what if someone accidentally knocks it over... goodbye laptop and monitor!)Usability/Sturdiness:I try to stand at least one or two hours in a given work day. The goal for these sit/stand desks are to encourage movement, causing better blood circulation. There isn't a golden number for you to sit and stand, but if you do it enough throughout the day, you're helping your body by changing positions, which also encourages/reminds you to step away from the computer and refocus your mind. The dual motor is VERY quiet. I have the desk on max height most of the time, but the times that I have adjusted the height, it's been extremely quiet and takes less than 30 seconds to go from min-max. The remote control is simple enough to use: Wake it from sleep (press any button), and hold the up/down buttons to your desired height. I'm a little shorter than 6' and the min/max heights work fine for me. Take this in consideration as this is the major difference between the other frames.Sturdiness seems to be good. I have the frame on carpet, so there is bound to be a little bit of a wobble. When I'm standing and typing, there is a minor wobble but not enough to cause any issues. I would assume it would be even more sturdy if I had placed the stands on hardwood.I currently have 1 27" monitor on a C-clamp, and a keyboard and mouse along with a laptop. My table top is 55" wide, and I still have plenty of room on my tabletop. Conclusion:At the given price, you're be hard to find a dual-motor frame at this price point. It does the job, and does it very well. Aside from not being able to screw one part of the frame in, I've had no issues with this frame and am extremely happy with my purchase. I also love that I can essentially upgrade my tabletop at any time, because the frame has an adjustable width. Should I ever need a shorter or wider desk, I have the option to do so and not have to buy new stands. I would recommend this frame for anyone who's shopping on a budget.

Good value, and it works
This doesn't need much introduction - it's a motorised base for a sit/stand desk at a price that's more affordable than the crop of ready-made desks on the market.I imagine that the main questions on anyone's mind are: though it's cheaper than others, it's still a hunk of cash - so does it work, and is it sturdy? The short answer is that, after a couple of months of use, yes it does, and yes it is.To give some context to that, here is how I have mine set up.The top I used is a solid beech job from Ikea - 1500mm x 750mm x 25mm, a roomy and sturdy affair. That top is carrying 2 monitors, a laptop, desk fan, speakers, tower pc (under-slung in a carriage), lamp, and various other objects.I haven't weighed all of this kit but I'm pretty sure it comes in under the recommended load of 'under 80kg'.In operation the base functions flawlessly. The raising and lowering operation is smooth, with a soft acceleration and deceleration in both directions, with no discernable adverse vibrations. Beverages, for instance, remain undisturbed (we'll just move straight on past the advisability of having a cuppa in close proximity to one's laptop and keyboard - we all do it, we all know it's an accident waiting to happen). There are a few reviews reporting that the base has an alarming wobble, and this was the first thing I looked for. The upshot is that, while there is indeed some wobble, it's no greater than that found in the versions from Ikea (yes, I went to Ikea to wobble desks), which, in some variants, cost twice as much as this. However, the wobble is not due to instability as such, it's just inherent in these particular designs (a central pillar support is always going to be more unstable than a leg at each corner - maybe not if it was made from adamantium, but I find that a fictional table is less functional). Under normal circumstances it's not really noticeable - you have to give it a reasonable shove to really upset it, and even then it's not particularly bad.I can't really comment on customer support as I've not had reason to contact them.To sum up, the finish is good, build quality is also good, operation is smooth, stability is fine (at least in my case), and I find it very much fit for purpose.I've no pictures of it currently but I'll add one or two later - if it's possible to do that after posting.
