Q: Do you have to season them before use like one of the reviews suggests? Or just treat with mineral oil on occassion to maintain?

I used the special oil recommended for wooden bowls before I used them. Now I just use the oil whenever they begin to look a bit dry. Hope this helps.

You’ve washed enough. Treat with olive oil or food grade mineral oil to restore the water proof layer. Avoid soap as much as possible. After use, rinse out and let dry. Apply another layer of oil. If you have to use soap make sure you oil well after.
