80cc Bicycle Engine Kit 2-Stroke Gas Motorized Bike Motor Kit 26" 28" Bicycle Motor Engine Kit Upgrade with Speedometer

First off, I'm a real person that has not received any compensation or anything for this review. I bought this kit for my son and I to put together on an old mountain bike I had hanging in the garage. I guess I was also satisfying a childhood dream of mine.The kit came complete and of good quality for the price I paid. The instructions were enough to get the motor on and a couple other things, but YouTube has a bunch of videos to help you with anything else. I am mechanically inclined so things I wasn't sure on, I just improvised and made educational guesses. I have a bunch of different hardware leftover, but I believe they give you additional hardware since all bikes are different.My lower frame piece was rather large so I had to finesse (beat with a BFH) to make the larger frame mounting kit fit. Don't worry, you probably won't have to do the same as the larger kit goes pretty big. I had to cut the chain by 4 links. Grind one pin down with a dremel and punch it out if you don't have a chain breaker. Make sure the chain is aligned all the way down and the tensioner is aligned as well. I left about 1/2" of slack.This can be a pretty involved process if you are trying to install this on a bike that isn't the best fit. I put about 3 hours into it, but it could go quicker installing on a cruiser or something with a better fit. Mine runs extremely well and starts right up. It is faster than I thought. It is really quiet as well. The neighbors love it too and one is going to order this kit for his bike. I feel like a kid again. I'd say you would need decent mechanical knowledge to get this together and working, but if you are searching Amazon for motors you can put on a bicycle, you probably won't have a problem. 10/10, would recommend.

So I had to cut apart my bike to install this which wasn't a problem at first because Ive always wanted one of these. Soon after I make the cuts so the carb and spark plug will clear the frame my friend who is putting the same kit on his bike realizes I am missing a spacer. Then after I rebuild my bike frame without the spacer that's supposed to be included it ran for maybe an hour of nothing very aggressive and then it crank bolt backed out ,sheared the woodruff key, and destroyed the gears in the motor case. The kit my friend received was missing bolts and gaskets so we had to make a number of hardware store runs just to get them installed and running and now his doesn't work either. We adjusted the carbs to get them to run well we followed the picture sheet that came with the kit but 2 kits 2 experienced mechanics 5 part store runs and nothing works. Save your money don't buy thisI attempted to order a replacement and the box I received was ripped open and the box inside of that looks like it was hit with a hammer a few times and you can see the kit inside is damaged. I have wanted one of these for so long and after purchasing 2 of them I'm left with a destroyed bike, $50 worth of hardware I can't return and no refund for either kit.

I’ve put so many miles on it and have had 0 problems if your thinking about buying this buy it it’s way worth it you just have to have some basic mechanical skills because the instructions aren’t much help. This motor is super fun to ride I have a top speed of 40 miles an hour I have many upgrades on mine though but even compared to stock stock still goes about 25-30mph. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I have put this motor on many different bikes it run great on all of them just as long as it’s got 26”-27” tires and a large frame but not to large.

These kits are fun little projects, Expect headaches when putting these together. I am experienced mostly with working on cars and trucks, the hardware in this kit is very cheap, expect to break some bolts and strip some threads, you better live close to a hardware store when putting these together. The hardest part for me was installing the sprocket and adjusting the chain right so it wouldn't walk off. But after I finally had it all together right it ran pretty well. takes about 2 full tanks of gas to break in the motor. I took off the filter for the carburetor (NOT A GOOD IDEA) and the cap of the muffler and it really picked up in speed and made so much power, I was getting over 34 mph with that setup.

Everything seems to work on the bike other than after I finally got it to start after installing it the part where the chain goes through the motor snapped off. The metal on this motor is very weak and brittle. If I could find out how to contact the seller to get a replacement that would be great

The media could not be loaded. The kit has a picture instruction booklet that shows how to put it onto a bicycle. Great value for price and came extremely fast. Also got a free speedometer with it.

I put the motor kit on a 26” bike cruiser I ride it every chance I get motor is starting to get broke in good I have had it up to 40 mph

To start out with just saying the speedometer that they send with it has no way to work on it, very confusing instructions ,on the first ride the tenchiner bent over and broke the chane off of it.Not a good experience do not recommend to anyone
