I am a pet stylist and this is an amazing brush to use on the dogs that are scared of any tangles being brushed. It works and is soft but also not too soft . I have been able to use it on my most scared dogs and anytime i can !

Bought this for brushing my mini schnauzer. He likes it much more that the previous ones we tried. I use it daily on him. It is very gentle. So gentle my 17 year old little poodle well let me brush him with it and the Poodz hates being brushed.It is not as easy to clean, I cannot just pull the hair out, I just use a comb instead.

I could tell from the first stroke that it is very gentle, but effective. It didn't make that tearing sound like the fur was being torn. My dog, a poodle bichon mix, did not run away at the first stroke and seemed to be enjoying being brushed. I would like to see Wahl offer the same brush in half the size for smaller dogs.

It is a very nice and well made brush. It just isnt for my cat. She has very long and fine hair, and I normally use a regular slicker brush on her which works well. However she doesnt like the feeling of the sharp bristles and runs away after only a few minutes. I thought the rounded tips of this brush would make it better for her, but it doesn't seem to penetrate her fur very well and only brushes the surface. I have to push very hard to get any use out of the brush.

This brush arrived today and is unfit for purpose. The outside pins have no safety tops and they are just sharp scratchy metal that would damage the skin. Some pins are missing or bent. This is not a premium brush it is really poor quality made in China . I thought Wahl were a good make and I was getting a bargain. I've read other reviews and can't believe they are reviewing the same brush. Just a waste of time travelling to the post office to return it.
