***edit number 4, well, the weatherproof/antiscratch coating on the cable has separated where it connects to the lock on both sides now, and rust is starting on the steel cable ends. So we got 6 months for our $15 price point, which is acceptable, I guess, because we're buying another one to replace it.***edit #3: 3 months later, we had a hard rain. The lock wouldn't open. We figured out that somehow the combo got changed to one number each dial off the set combo. Fixed it, but disappointed at the failure and wondering if user error or if the beginning of the end of this lock only 3 months in, because the antiscratch coating on the cable has pulled loose already from the lock.***Edit: updating this review because while it might be the wrong one, this is a very decent lock. Large legible numbers, easy to grasp and turn dials. Initially annoyed that the cable was so long but the tightly-wound part actually helps keep the lock in place. I guess we'll see about longevity but a nice antiscratch coating.Edit#2: seller reached out to apologize and make good on the wrong item issue.Not at all as pictured. Not certain this will work for our intended use. The cable is 3 feet long and tightly wound.

After MINE research, this particular type of lock, combined with the original quality of the item, the ratings is this lock being on the top 5 ever best/safest locks!!Economically viable, at $14.99 I deem this bike chain lock fairly priced.WHAT DO YOU REQUIRE TO KNOW:- It is thick!! / thicker than most.-The item has a 5-combination number / infinitely (just about) more difficult to reach by guessing or proof/fail than a 4-number combo.- it is long enough to fit most bicycle stands to lock!!Sturdy: it has the “downsize” to me by little physical strength to often bother me to pull the string wire lock all the way out to reach the entire circumference!!This lock/chain is mainly used as it came: twice rolled, meaning half the circumference. / See photoI truly enjoyed that-as shown in the description-one may put two of the locks together, in order to make a very long chain.Sometimes I am having trouble to pull the lock apart, also to put it back together in its place, despite the combination being furthermore absolutely correct.I prefer this covered chain to an open bike chain lock. I rather found the description for U-locks as “not-as-reliable”. So, to MINE this is the perfect solution!!

Nice heavy duty lock that you can use to lock a helmet on the bike during the day or even the wheel at night. Easy to use and seems well put together.

After 20 or so attempts of various kinds, I grew tired of hoping that this device works. I will try again eventually.

Thick, stout and strong cable lock. Use this to secure a spare off road tire and it works perfectly. Holds tight and securely. Holds up to vibration, dirt, moisture and cold weather.

Simple lock that I use with my ebike cover.

Good quality at its given price..

Frame locks for 4” wheels I couldn’t find but this is everything plus some. The thick case on this cable makes clipping it a challenge.
