Manfrotto Compact Advanced Aluminium Tripod with 3 Way Head, Black

The reviews here are mixed up, with some apparently being for other tripods in this Manfrotto range. This review is for the Compact Advanced: Great quality and well-designed. Quickly set up and packed away. Goes tall (65") and packs small (18"). The head is pretty smooth for panning and tilting and resistance can be easily adjusted by the handles that you are holding. No fiddling around anywhere else on the head. Elevating or depressing the central column is also quick and easy via a wingnut. The quick release plate shows two arrows for direction of the lens to point. One position seems to set the head up for left-hand use which some users will obviously like. The leg length clips feel nice to the touch and are easy to operate The only thing I don't like is that the panning handle also controls sideways tilt and, when panning using the pan handle, it is too easy to inadvertently tilt the head sideways when you are seeking to execute a level pan. However, the overall quality and smoothness of the tripod and head make me more than happy to take extra care, and it is quite easy to either tighten that handle until it will not tilt or to use the other handle for panning thus removing the possibility of accidental sideways tilt. Both handles are a nice small size and feel good in the hands. There's no spirit level on the tripod but you really should be able to see with your own eyes when buildings and people are leaning over or the horizon is sloping to one side.

Nice and sturdy tripod. Holds the weight of the camera well with zero shakiness. Highly recommend it.

Habe das Stativ meiner Freundin geschenkt. Es ist für das verhältnismäßig geringe Gewicht sehr stabil und eignet sich perfekt als treuer Begleiter auf Reisen. Die Beinauszüge funktionieren einwandfrei und sind qualitativ hochwertig gefertigt und eingestellt. Der Stativkopf ist ebenfalls hochwertig und übertrifft so ziemlich alles andere aus diesem Preissegment. Großer Pluspunkt für die kompakte und platzsparende Bauweise der Stellschrauben, die zur Kompaktheit und zum einfachen Transport des Stativs beitragen. Wer ein einfaches, leichtes und dennoch zuverlässiges Stativ sucht, der wird mit dem Manfrotto glücklich werden!

Bueno no hace falta decir que la marca Manfrotto es de lo mejor en trípodes y accesorios de fotografía, me ha sorprendido mucho lo pequeño que puede llegar a ser cuando esta totalmente plegado y luego al desplegar-lo podemos lograr una altura bastante considerable. Como vemos la rotula tiene 2 mangos para que podamos dirigir nuestra camera en el eje Y y en el eje X. La forma de colocar la zapata es muy simple, solamente tenemos que tirar hacia fuera la hebilla colocar la cámara con la zapata montada que se ajusta a la perfección y apretar otra vez la hebilla. Una vez abiertas las patas nos permite además abriendo una pequeña llave, poder subir el cilindro donde esta sujeta la rotula y así pues poder darle mas altura todavía. Además de la zapata que por cierto su base es de goma para que no resbale, viene con otro plástico similar pero unicamente nos seria necesario si tuviéramos unos modelos de camera de la marca Sony específicos que indica el manual. Le hecho de menos una burbuja de nivel, no les costaría nada haberla puesto pero no es un problema ya que podemos comprar niveles parecidos económicos para insertarlos en nuestra camera. Me gusta que el trípode venga en una bolsa ya que facilitará mucho su transporte. Por este precio no esta nada mal pienso que es una buena elección.

Pros. I loved this tripod. It’s too sturdy and the quality of the metal is good. Head movement is smooth enough to pan and rotate. It can stand up to 3.5 kilo of weight. Height is up to 6 feet. The head bar can be separated to use it as a hand bar to move around with the camera. Cons. I dint like the bag. The thread given for hanging is too nesh for the tripod build. That’s should not worry you much if you bag is not concerning. Total worth the investment. Best brand and value for money.
