TimexWatch with Timex Pay

Nice alternative for the Apple Watch payment feature but be advised it has limitations
You can find this out if you do your own research. Essentially this is a programmable RFID chip built into the watch strap. No batteries needed. The watch itself could be dead as a doornail and yet the strap will happily aid your purchase for the replacement battery. You can buy this RFID "Timexpay" straps separately as well. The function only works with certain banks at present (I happen to be a customer of the bank it currently works with), Chase, at the time of this writing. So you can use this to pay for things, much as with a Wear OS or Watch OS device, but only through one card vendor at a time, and changing the watch required reprogramming. In addition, this would be linked through Timex so they would have some insight into your purchases. The upside of that is that you can use the Timex app (IOS and Android compatible, though I had only tried the IOS version) to track your purchases as well, or even disable/suspend the payment function.Having said the watch has a nice chronographic function, even if the face seems a bit busy. Seconds hand in chrono function generally lined up with the markings on the dial, and the "indiglo" feature works marvelously. Love the color choices too. Timex does a good job at that.

Great watch. Contactless payment only works with Amazon Visa or Chase visa or debit card....
Honest review here. This is a great womens Ironman watch... as pictured and as described. ONLY WORKS WITH CHASE VISA DEBIT/CREDIT CARD AND AMAZON VISA!PROSTimex Ironman watch for women and is definitely a smaller sizeIntergrated strap as Timex Pay allowing you to use apple pay if you want...contactless payments (requires no connection or battery to work)It does require a Chase visa credit or debit card or Amazona Prime Visa (which I didn't realize when I got it)Adjustable black 14mm resin strap fits up to 7.5-inch wrist circumference100-hour chronograph with 10-lap memory24-hour countdown timerCustomizable alarm24-hour military time mode2 time zones; day, date & month calendarGray & black 34mm resin case with acrylic lensBlack digital displayIndiglo light-up watch dialWater resistant to 100m (330ft): in general, suitable for swimming and snorkelingCONSFace is kinda small, would have preferred a bit biggerWas disappointed when I saw it only works with Chase debit/credit visa and Amazon card....Overall I recommend if you have that credit card.... feel like that should be listed as the first detail on the details page...

Very good
Update: I just grabbed the watch, noticed that something slipped and found that the rubber just beneath the clasp was entirely split, rendering the watch unwearable. For Timex this is unforgivable, especially as the payment mechanism is in the strap, which will be lost when I replace it. One star docked.I live in a country that hasn't quite embraced contactless payments yet, and I don't have a Chase account, so the gadgetry in the strap is of no interest to me. What is of interest, though, are the features of a watch perfectly designed for use on my local running track. Everything is accessible at the touch of a button. The stopwatch, countdown timer and multiple alarms are all reached through the mode button, and even without reading the instructions they're easy to figure out. I'm a bit of a disaster when it comes to technology but it only took me a few seconds to work out how to time my laps. The watch itself is... well, I wouldn't call it attractive. It's not ugly, but the four chunky function buttons around the edge of the dial are a little lumpen, and the whole thing is very plasticky, but I guess that's par for the course for digital watches designed for exercise. I'm not going to be wearing this with a suit, and I'm not looking to impress anyone. I just want a functional watch that won't break if I give it a little rough treatment, and the Ironman fits the bill.I'm not sure I'd want to wear this all day, but during workouts it's perfect and allows me to leave my phone behind (I usually use that as a stopwatch/timer, which is pretty risky when you're bouncing up and down on a track). If you're able to make use of the contactless pay feature all the better. Recommended.
