This served its purpose the problem I had with it was when we used it, it doesn’t go back into its pack very well, if you can get it in, and that it holds all the sand, when I got home I still could not get the sand off of it .

We bought this to make a wind blown beach shade from an old broken umbrella, and it worked very well with a few sewn modifications. It is good quality, light weight, and strong rip stop nylon. It would also work well for its intended purpose as a beach mat, but we are happy using it for shade, as it stays aloft well with a consistent breeze, and is nice looking too. Also, it does fold up to a small and light weight bundle, and comes with a carrying bag that would fit easily into a beach bag. Very happy with our purchase, and might buy another one as a back-up in case this one eventually wears out.

When this arrived it felt like a thin plastic package covering. But it installed easy into the sand. We placed it in front of our tent for that first level of sand removal and it worked. Didn’t get hot and was easy to pack. Just make sure you don’t place on any ocean debris or you will have a rip/tear. Don’t expect it to last long but that is ok.

The large size is great and the anchors are easy to use and keeps the blanket securely in place; however, at the end of the day on the beach the sand didn’t shake loose from the blanket as I had expected. Overall it is a great addition to our beach collection.

The color looks nice and it is good for the sand surfaces, but the elastic hooks on the 4 corners (where you use the pins to secure the blanket to the ground) are not sewn properly. On the second use, 2 of the elastics came off and with a slight wind, the light blanket was no longer on the ground. Had to secure the corners with heavy items or rocks.If you don't plan on securing it to the ground, then it is an okay blanket, otherwise plan on putting heavy weights on the corners to prevent it from flying away.

I bought this to use at the lake beach. The sand is not as fine as ocean sand so it doesn't sift through as I thought it would. It worked fine at the coastal beach.
