Q: Can this be sprayed on dry hair?

Sorry I did not try to spray on the dry hair. What’s the point to spray on the dry hair? you need to spray on the wet or dump here and then dry it then you can see the affect. So I just try to spray on my dry hair will not make you sticky, as far as I can tell, . You just have to spray more and dry. I have a blonde fine hair.

Q: I only air dry ny hair. No blow drying. Will this sti work effectively in my hair to give volume?

It does in my hair, and I mostly air dry my long hair as well. Sometimes I will use a blow dryer on the front of my hair, on a low setting. I can not tell any difference in this product on the blown dry sections or the air dryed sections. This product adds a subtle fullness to my hair, but nothing dramatic...too bad! :)
