YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
This past Sunday was the first time using these with a full band… WOW! I am blown away!I have been playing drums for almost 20 years and have had the privilege to drum tech for some big artists. One thing has remained consistent in my playing as a professional drummer and the other professional drummers I have teched for and that is the need for high end in ear monitors! The front runner that I have constantly seen and have used myself for years has been 64 audio 8 driver iem’s which sound amazing and a close second I use as backups the Shure SE846 quad driver iem’s, Both have cost me a grand a piece so it really sucks when a pair breaks like my 64’s recently have after years of rigorous use. I still have my backup SE846 which sound fantastic and are still going strong but I wish had a bit more low end.WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID THESE KZ AST 24 DRIVER IEM’S 100% COMPETE AND SOUND JUST AS GOOD AS THE 64 AUDIO AND SOUND WAY BETTER THAN THE SHURE SE846!The highs are crystal clear, the mids do not get lost whatsoever and are very present and the LOW END IS ROBUST!I highly recommend these to any musician but drummers and bassists these are for you!!!Save yourself the money of high end $1000 plus iem’s and get these!!!I will say that I did upgrade the ear tips and cable, this is a must! All in all, the separation from 12 drivers in each ear is an amazing experience that every musician needs to try!

Great sound!
These IEM’s were recommended to me by one of the guys in my band. He’s an audio engineer by day and he swears by them. Being totally new to IEM’s, I went with his recommendation. I’m glad I did. With 12 BA’s per side, these sound awesome once you get the right tips to create the right seal in your ear. They’re the priciest KZ’s but I think they’re worth it.

Great quality IEMs. Clear sound and good bass coming through a Shure wireless monitoring system. Also clear at lower pack volumes. Only thing is that they are a little bulky/heavy, which is to be expected for added drivers. Sonic foam medium ear tips helped with fit and isolation, too.

Let the fun Begin
Let it burn for a 48 hour period at mid volume with music and the results are incredible can't believe the quality, this is by far the best for that price range and beats Westone along other brands!!!

Too much bass
Arrived in good condition, chord is great, and built well. Sound was entirely too bassy. Drowned out much of the detail. I would recommend the KZ AS10, AS12, ZX10, or ZSX if you are looking for KZ. All of these offer better sound for less money. I will be seeking a return & refund.

Excellent budget IEM's (if you upgrade the cable and tips)...
I hardly ever review anything, but these far exceeded my expectations. I'm a 20+ yr. drummer, who traveled and played professionally for a few years. Now I play for several local bands. I've had multiple pair of custom IEM's over the years (Alclair, 64, Westone, Sure, Etc.). These definitely compete with them at a fraction of the cost. HOWEVER, make sure you purchase some upgraded cables and earphone tips!! I used the original tips and cable just for comparison, and they sound terrible without upgrading those two components. I would highly recommend them as a back up, and if you'd rather not spend $2,000+ on custom IEM's they would do fine as your primary monitors.

Muddy. More is not better.
Very muddy, lacked the clarity of other KZ offerings (tested side-by-side, with upgraded cables, compared to the KZ ZSX, purchased for $30). Mids and highs are truncated with these, bass and low-mids are present. I play bass and drums (I love lows), but removing the mids and highs like that didn't equate to a 'more-bass-good' listening experience. It was just all-around worse. Soundstage was distant, not wide. Separation was good enough, but again - misses every mid and high (vox/guitars/other strings - thick, murky, or gone).Save over $100 and pick up the KZ ZSX instead. Stellar bass, airy highs, and a wide soundstage. Also worth noting: These iems had a hiss stronger than what's present in KZ's other offerings (trying to fit in too many drivers messing with their SNR / noise floor)? Weird.

Great but not what I was expecting
They are a really good pair of earbuds, but the whole multiple drivers don't really take it to some extreme level or anything as I was expecting. I have tried almost all earbuds and sennheiser momentums are the best so far and these are the same sound quality, so they are a good option if you don't mind the cables.
