Modern 12" Steel Enclosure Silent Wall Clock with Non Ticking Movement (Bronze)

I was going to different local stores searching, buying, returning clocks because they tick every second. I needed a clock for my home office. Silence was my primary feature.. and this clock is exactly that. The second hand rotates smoothly. I put my ear right next to the clock.. dead silence. Silence is wonderful.I sync'd the clock to the atomic time. I monitored the time drift over a full 2 week period. It gained 4 seconds in that amount of time. In theory, this means it will gain about 1 minute and 45 seconds over the course of a year. I guess that isn't so bad. I will probably re-sync the clock to the atomic clock every few months. The other unknown for me would be how long a single AA alkaline battery will last.. time will tell. I guess.. pun intended?Cost is about twice as much as other clocks.. but is well worth it for the total silence.

We have already purchased 2 of Berg Instruments clocks...the 12" round black face with white hands - they are the best and the second swings by without skipping a beat...and these clocks are clean and contemporary looking. This particular one that has a white face with a bronze frame, we are going to return/exchange for one of the others we like better.This company is quality and make a great product. I would highly recommend it. We just didn't care for the bronze frame. But more than likely exchange it for another style....great job! No ticking at all...very smooth sweeping second hand that looks so cool....

My old red kitchen clock was looking a bit battered and cracked, so I purchased this as a replacement. It is a vast improvement. The old clock had a second hand that jumped from "dot" to "dot" and made a clicking sound, while this one has a smooth second-hand transition around the clock with NO noise! (It was a tad eerie at first, since I was so used to the tick, tick, tick of the old one.) The red color is a clear strong red -- no pink, fuchsia, purple, or blue tinges. The depth is perfect and the white face is so clear white that it looks like it is lighted -- it isn't. The numbers are so black and large that I can see them across the living room and dining room, and into the kitchen. This seems to be a sturdy, well-constructed clock with a smooth-running (battery) system. At the same time that I purchased this clock, I also purchased one that was less than 1/2 the price -- BUT, you certainly get what you pay for -- the other one is 1/2 the depth, the red is not as clear and strong, and it doesn't look "substantial". I am 100% pleased with my new 12" red clock. (I am putting the other new one in the garage, over the work bench.)

Was looking forward to the arrival of this clock to replace an atomic clock that was dysfunctional. However, this clock's second hand was not attached and stuck elsewhere within the face of the clock upon unboxing. The box was not damaged. It arrived today and is arranged for pickup tomorrow for a refund! I can not recommend buying this thing. It's a waste of money.

We bought a similar clock that ticked. We found it annoying, so we took a chance on this one. It is quiet. It keeps very good time (you should know that I modified it with an adapter I made to allow it to use 2 C cells though we ran if for a few days on one AA battery). It's an attractive clock and appears to be well made, The movement is Chinese made but ours seem to work well. What we like most is that it's a clock. Just a clock. Not a "smart" clock, a dumb old clock. It does one thing, it tells you the time. And it looks nice [I think I said that already].

The clock looks great but... We used the battery that came with it and it did not run. We replaced the battery with a fresh AA that we had and it ran for 15 minutes then stopped. The workings of the clock did not appear to be functioning properly. One area appeared to be wobbling rather than running smoothly. Sending it back for a refund.

is gray toned so it looks dim. I would much prefer a white background and a clear lens. Not sure why this was designed this way. But I do love the silent mechanism with the ever moving second hand, no clicking from second to second. The red frame of the clock looks great with the red knobs on our stove. To tell the truth, what I would really love is the same clock a few inches bigger to be a real statement.

Clock second hand is silent. Second hand sweeps, does not move in one-second increments. Time easy to read from a distance. Does not glow at night. Red steel enclosure adds a splash of color and has a quality look. Requires one AA battery, included. Made in China. ***UPDATE***After two years, one of the two clocks purchased is no longer silent. A mechanical sound can be heard at night. Clock still keeps good time and batteries last a long time.
