Overall this gift for my grandson was a winner! The box however came scratched due to the clasp being too tight when opening but not enough to warrant sending back. Also the inscription in the box was hard to read even for a teenager but he was touch by receiving this gift and that’s all that matters!

Beautifully made piece. I bought this for my grandson’s graduation. The compass is not correct. It seems that the nut on top of the hands may be loose.I’m gifting anyway. It’s the sentiment that counts.

The leather case smells, the "engraving" looks like a sticker, the case has a screw on top, not a flip top. Overall the quality is not worthy to gift as an heirloom. I'll keep hunting for a better quality
