well, i just wrote a long report about how i thought these were not going to be as good as the prior ones i got because they are shorter, but that when i used them i loved the even more than the prior ones i have purchased many times in the past, but i must have pressed the wrong button and my review disappeared. Anyway, buy these floss strings and don't worry if they look shortish, they stretch out when you're flossing and they definitely do the job. I'm glad this company took the time to improve an already wonderful product. GET THEM...and as my dentist always tells me - You only have to floss the teeth you want to keep. LOL

I have been buying this product for at least 15 years. I order them in the $25 pack of 6. I have just opened my second $25 pack that is defective! When I returned the first defective batch, 2 days ago, I made sure Amazon knew there was a defective problem, and I asked them to "check their warehouse for defective product". I re-ordered the 6 pack box. It just arrived and is also defective. If this is just how this product is now, beware! The overall length of the strand of floss is at least 25% shorter. The "threading" part, the stiff end to get under bridges, etc., is much shorter. The "spongy" part, the rougher part to really clean under your bridge, is pretty much non-existent. I wish that I had a piece of the "old" product to be able to effectively show you what is now missing! I would really like a response from Oral -B, as to whether this is just how the product is now, or not. If it is, bye bye. Thanks!

Exactly as described, the best thing for those with braces/retainers. Sometimes tricky to get the floss through which is why the attatched threader makes the product so good.
