good but
Good for keeping the dog's neck from getting discolored from the metal closures. That's why I switched. However, I had issue with the way it opens up but then you have to slide it over the dogs head. Annoying and uncomfortable. I'm a bit creative, so I ended up removing their black nylon and making my own closure that has two closures. Now I have purple nylon with a buckle and a lanyard clip. Two fastenings, but better than either sliding it over her head or having her neck discolored. Less effective than a full metal prong collar, but after basic training, is still plenty to stop her from pulling and get her attention from other dogs/birds/critters.

Mini Doodle Approved
Bought for my seven month mini goldendoodle, Cooper. Cooper was getting worse and worse about leash pulling and a harness did not help. We could barely take him in public without my hand almost getting pulled off (28 year old female). Easy to use, size was perfect (30 pounds with fluff). Slipped on over head, buckled, and made our way out to the neighborhood for our weeknight stroll. After a couple winces, Cooper now has slack in his leash! He pulled a bit, but not NEARLY as hard and would slack off if he went too far. We did a bit of stop, heel training even! He was a different dog.I am slightly worried the thrill of the โwalkโ might be diminished. He just didnโt seem as.. happy? Thrilled to be out on the town? But, after some training with this, I believe we will be able to walk frustration free and no longer need this.

Quality Collar That Gets Great Results
I was very reluctant to use this collar since I have preferred chest harness with a front leash attachment as a more humane way to walk my dogs. Our new Boston Terrier is a puller and since my wife has a gait problem she was afraid of falling if pulled suddenly. My son swears by the pinch collar for his 60 pound Plott Hound so I decided to give this collar a try and I am really pleased with the results. Our BT is a pleasure to walk and she pulls very little. As our dog has left being a pup our daily walks have lengthened to a mile at a time and 3x a day. Never an incident with the collar or, more importantly, an injury to the dog. I am a believer and rate this collar 5 stars for that reason and the quality of product.

It'S all about control!
I have a 9.5 pound Jack Russel/Rat Terrier mix who chokes himself when walking on a leash so I bought him a harness. He still choked himself with the harness by being out of control. He is a very hard headed and independent dog. My vet recommended a pinch collar for him. I purchased this pinch collar. The first time I put it on him and he pulled too hard, he yelped. He can be a bit of a drama queen. He did this two more times. After that he respectfully walked by my side. I couldn't believe it! It was almost comical. Now anytime, I walk him he heels immediately.

A Fantastic Training Tool
*prong collars should not be used as everyday gear, the goal of training collars is to "graduate" to a regular buckle collar. Do not leave training collars of any type on your pet when not in use*This collar is a great training tool, it's relatively light weight and the nylon buckle loop ensures the safety of your pet. The prongs are not sharp and easy to disconnect (if you can't get it on/off with the buckle latch alone). I am using it for my Standard Poodle service dog while we get used to each other and practice verbal commands. As far as prong collars go, this one is safe, easy to use, and affordable.

very light and flexible.
great collar but I wish it would separate on the black strap so you can put around the dogs head. If you want to do that with this collar you have to undo the prongs like a regular prong. Me, Personally I unclip and reverse the prong and slip over the dogs head and then reverse back into the neck. Not too complicated but I do prefer if the black section totally unclipped. Always used a heavier duty prong for my big dogs, but my trainer showed how a lighter one might show more results, especially like my dogs that once you put any prong on her, they behave asap.

The black nylon part doesn't slide as easily as a chain does
The black nylon part doesn't slide as easily as a chain does, HOWEVER, it does have the look of leash instead of chain which is nice.
