How cool is the pad when activated?

This is not what you think it is. This goes inside the panels on a "swamp-cooler" which pulls are through the wet pad to pull heat out of the air and blow cool air into your home/office/whatever.

I wanted to use this to put between wood and my mattress in my RV for ventilation. Would it be safe to use this in that manner?

not very thick and Its going to squish down.

Roughly an inch. It's not rigid though, so it will squish down quite a bit.

Will this product float and remain floating, not become waterlogged over time?

Have no idea if it floats, it’s made for swamp coolers.

Doesn't actually hold any moisture in it. If that's what you want in a humidifier pad I recommend something better. Try MAF2 style padding and you'll never even look at this again.

to cold to use just yet.

have used this product before, it arrived before stated, the carrier dMged to shipping box but product was undamaged. this is used in an evaporative type swamp cooler and right now its barely 30 degrees out doors a bit early for using a house cooler, so contents unused rather stocked up for summer.
