The MYZONE® MZ-3 Charger clips on to the back of the MYZONE® MZ-3 Device .

How will I know when it's fully charged? It keeps blinking red. I would've expected a solid green light

Yes, it should be green, but even if it isn't fully charged, you can see on your phone just how much charge it has. In the upper right corner when you click on MYZONE is the icon Click on that and it will show the charge. Mine is at 61% right now. It seems to take a while to charge but the charge lasts a long time.

Will this work for the my zone mz-1

No, the Myzone MZ-1 device has a removable battery. The Myzone MZ-3 charger can only be used with the Myzone MZ-3 device which contains a rechargeable battery.
