Does it fit the iPad mini 6th 2021 version?

No. It will not fit iPad mini 6th. It will interfere with power and volume buttons.

I can't figure out how to close it around the ipad when not on use. It looks like it has a carrying handle. Can someone post directions or a video ?

Hi Laura. It doesn’t close up around the iPad. You just have to fold the sides underneath and get it as flat as you can. I don’t keep my iPad mini in the kneeboard when I’m not using it because I keep it in my flight bag where it is nice and safe.

Will this fit the 5th gen ipad mini?

The answer is yes if the 5th gen ipad mini's size is 7.9 inch.

will this fit the 7th gen iPad mini?

The current version of the iPad mini is gen 5. Gen 6 hasn't been released yet, much less gen 7!
