I installed this myself while my husband watched, lol! It took less than 10 minutes with just a few adjustments.

This fit perfectly to replace a latch lockset on my sliding glass door that had busted a spring and was no longer reliably functioning. I actually ordered an extra because you can't find them at Home Depot, Lowe's, or Ace around here.Make sure that your lockset looks EXACTLY like this one all in one piece before ordering it. The dead giveaway is the recessed latch. Almost all the latched locks that are sold in stores now are "flush" with the mounting structure. This one is not. It sits recessed so you can't drop your lock into the door.Just make sure the picture matches and you'll be fine.As far as the performance of the new lock? Well, it's only been a day, but It works just fine. Last one lasted for 18 years. This is a no-brainer if you have a sliding-glass door with a locking mechanism like this.

This is the 2nd I buy, the original lasted 20 years but the 1st replacement only lasted 3. Hopefully this one will last longer. It fits perfectly and is easy to install.

Fit great and works well. The only negative was that the latch housing is attached to my specific door by two bolts, one of which was bashed to death by the kids. Make sure you keep and reuse your original hardware when installing this.

Exactly what I needed! After trying many patio door replacement handles and locks, I found that all I needed was a new mortise. Can’t figure what happened to the old one, but this switch has finally solved my problem.

Doesn't fit, build quality seems decent and the weight is the exact same as the previous original lock at 134g. I managed to line up the screw holes and tried to tighten it hoping it would pop in but the vinyl just started flexing where the lock was installed, I'm certain eventually the vinyl would crack and I do not like the idea of making the hole bigger to install this new lock. Will be returning and keeping a piece of wood on the door rail to keep it securely closed for now.

Fits and works as described, however it is stiff to operate. The proof will be with how long it lasts. I purchased another replacement from another company 5 years ago. Will see how long this one lasts.I would recommend it at this time, arrive on time and as described

Easy to replace / install on my “new” patio door... it lasted 5 years before the tiny spring inside the lock broke.My previous patio door of 30 years never had a failure (different system).

Unit fit well and was easy to install. Hopefully it lasts but right now all is real good

Bought this to replace our broken latch and didn't even last us a year before it also broke. (Can no longer lock the door without using a bloody screw driver, same problem as the original lock. Something to do with the spring) for $38 I expect this to last a hell of a lot longer. Unfortunately I can only find this style on here. It is not sold in any stores in my area. So without getting a whole new door not sure what I can do besides hoping the next will last longer.
