Excellent battery for my heat gun.
I bought this replacement battery for my 18V heat gun because I needed an extra battery to work without interruption, and so far it has worked very well. It installed perfectly from the start, and the charger recognized it without any problems. I use it for my craft and candle-making business, where the heat gun is a tool I use frequently. The battery holds a good charge and allows me to work long enough to finish several pieces before needing to recharge it. I also liked that it fits snugly in the tool and has no play. After several uses, it continues to deliver consistent performance, and I haven't noticed any overheating or loss of power.

Bad idea
Might as well go name brand. Bought two of them, used them for a new lawn mower I got, got one charge out of them and then the batteries went bad.

It works great! Buy it!
I was preparing to fly to do a bathroom makeover. TSA has a rule for lithium batteries that is not that clear. I did not want to risk having to surrender my more expensive $100 Makita battery at the airport. So, I paid about $20 for this extra battery for my drill and sent it to where I was going. Since it was so cheap, I didn't have a problem leaving it behind when it was time to take the flight back home. If you need a replacement battery, get this one!!! It works well and gives the same amount of power.
