Powerful welder!
First of all i’m a beginner, so take it with a grain of salt as they say… I was repairing a rusty boat trailer and basically adding metal where the metal has rusted out. The welder was more than powerful enough to arc my 3/32 rods and lay on both 1/8” steel and also in the tongue area 3/16” and 1/4” steel. A friend recommended I make two passes on the heavier steel so that’s what I did, other than my lumpy welds needing a lot of grinding (technique), everything came out perfect. Recommend you get a 4-1/2” angle grinder with some flap wheels and some twisted wire wheels to remove corrosion and excess weld material deposition.Took me a while to get the technique. I recommend allow a few hours for practice welds before working on your precious belongings!

Nice Machine
OK, so it arrived yesterday. I unboxed the machine. Well packaged and padded. Seemed all good. But I started looking at the external wiring more carefully. They suggest a 50 amp breaker if you are going to run it on 120v household plug. Well there are no 50 amp 120v plugs in the US. You can go to 10 ga wire and 25 amp HD plug with a similar breaker. But that's pushing the US code ...Then I looked more at the wire. The supplied AC feed wire to machine is stamped 14 ga. So prolly not good for much more than 15 amps coming in, maybe 20 if you don't mind the wire warming up.So, I plugged it into 220v with the supplied cord/plug and got to it. Dialed in 140 on the screen and stuck a piece of 1/8" 6013 rod in the holder. Started making passes on 1/4 wall square tubing. Runs fine. No overheat or anything. Nice looking puddle. Seems fine.I am going to upgrade the supplied welding leads which measure 0.192" tightly wound (fine stranded copper). So that is #5 wire to the ground and the stinger. I'll go straight #4 welding cable. The supplied connectors to the machine have plenty of socket space for #4 cable. Prolly ditch the ground clamp (not to bad) and go TWECO traditional on the ground. The rod holder is OK for now. It clamps tightly and is comfy.Overall, I'm impressed. Machine is light and compact. Plenty of punch for nominal repair jobs and light fab. For heavier work I have an old Lincoln AC/DC transformer machine. But you can't tote that around.Bottom line, I don't think this machine will be happy on 120v household plugs ...

Great Little Easy To Use Welder
So far it’s a Great Little Welder for the money. I’m not a pro for sure but I’m really enjoying both stick and lift tig. At the moment I don’t have 240 to my building so I’ve been using 120 and welding just fine. I’ve used 7018 and 6011 3/32 and 1/8. Like I said I’m not a pro but definitely thinks it’s worth trying out. Especially for the beginner, back yard hobby person without 240. Oh yeah just about forgot this thing is very light and super easy to set up and get started.

Features are so easy to navigate
I have many welding machines. Some diesels, some gas and several plug in units. This little machine does everything it advertises. It will weld within the range beautiful. The tig function is as good as some of my thousand dollar machines..... So impressed with this Reboot I am going to look to this brand first for my future welding needs.

Worth it
Make sure you put it on a 30 amp fuse. Other wise youll be flipping the fuse a lot. Amazing machine!! Welded a 3/32 at 90 and 1/8 at 110, 7018 rods like butter.

Excellent!
Excellent and portable welder! I was not expecting much, however, after the first use I have to say that it is extremely easy to use and control.

user friendly
I was very pleased at how lightweight, portable, and good this was. We are teaching our sons about welding and this was great and easy to use! Highly recommend!

Works great for the size
I decided to get this welder because of its size, reviews and price. The welder should be run on 220 volts to get the most out of it. I have tried on 115 volts and it works great as well, It popped the 15 amp breaker on a 100 foot extension cord 1/2 way through the 3.2 1/8 7018 rod.On 220 volts it just keeps going. The ark is very stable and has lots of heat if needed. I tried the arc force and hot start settings and they make a difference with starting. I found 65% on both is a good starting point on rusty steel. Now to start the arc on my welder I push the electrode in and twist until I see a small spark and the circuit is ready to strike the arc. I then drag or peck to get the welder to come alive and off it goes. There is a good start if the hot start is set to 65% or more with no sticking. If you stop welding the restart is good. I do find that if I stop welding after a few tacks it takes the circuit 3-5 seconds to wake up again with the small spark and then it will light off again. It could be a safety thing or just really rusty steel that I'm welding on. Yes the welding leads are 5' but one can get longer cables and make up what they need. The grounding clamp is ok for the heat the welder kicks out and the rod holder is great for holding the electrode with a heavy spring and grooved brass area. The adaptor for welding plug 220 volts to 115 volts is great also. You should be happy with your little welder.

Good initially, but poor quality control and mediocre customer service
So I initially really liked this welder! Nice and small and it ran 1/8" 7018 very smoothly! But then after welding for a few minutes, it went into overload mode. The light popped up on the machine and it ceased to function. I had to turn it off and turn it back on in order to use it again. This time, I could only weld for 5-10 seconds before it shut itself down. Mind you I was running on 240v so it wasnt being underpowered.I contacted the company directly and they initially were very helpful in diagnosing the issue. Saying that there was a internal issue that definitely needed fixing. But when it came to making things right, they didn't help a whole lot. They offered me to send it back and they would fix it. But I would be on the hook for shipping. Which would come out to the cost of the machine as they wanted the shipped tracked, which came out to $106.89, due to the size and the fact it was being sent to the other side of the country. I then asked for a refund which was denied. They offered for me to buy a new machine and they would pay for half of it. But it still doesn't really fix the issue of the faulty machine. So if you get one that works, then I'm sure you will be happy. But if you run into issues, the company doesn't stand behind their product and won't refund you if you do have issues.

This welder works well
This welder works great even hooked up to my generator. It will bog down sometimes when starting a weld. I wanted to do a couple reviews on these cheaper welders for the normal everyday person that would like to try bodywork etc. With little to no experience. I’ve done body work for years with a mig but never tried arc welding so with no experience with stick i can honestly say that with a little work you can do good welds with this little welder. Great buy for the cash

Amazing Little Welder
This welder rocks - previously using an older gas engine driven welder (Redi Arc 185) and a 225amp AC BuzzBox. I tried this little welder as I now do welding less often and I must say this works amazing. Laid down a few beads of 1/8 6011 and turned to the max setting to 140amp with the hot start set. Very impressive - smooth bead and good depth. Also tried it on a 3/32 rod and it can operate at almost 100% duty cycle --- extremely satisfied and for the price this is hard to beat. I hope it lasts for a while! I also want to mention I have it wired to a 220v power supply. I don't think you can get a good weld using 120v - that's just my opinion:)

Incredible value for this little arc welder with a big heart!!
Let me preface my review with this, I am brand new at this, and I am not very good! That being said, once you figure out how the settings work on the welder this thing works like a charm, I'm running it on a 220 connection and aside from my newbie lack of skills this far the unit performs fantastically right out of the box. I had some issues with the settings at first but it took customer support less than 6 hours to get back to me via email, and on a Sunday no less! So great product, great support and a killer price, not much more one could ask for in my opinion!!
