Great characters and stories
I love this author and her writing style. This was a good follow up to the first book but I can't keep paying $4 a book for 120 page book. I can read them in less than a day. Sorry but I am moving on. I would love to read all of her books but it's too costly for me.

Too short..
I enjoyed this book. But at 12 dollars for such a short book is very expensive. That is essentially 12 dollars worth for one day worth of reading. At 4, almost five in the series. That is too much.

Book 2 was even better than than Book 1.
This is Book 2 in the wonderful Sunset series.I truly did not expect to like this book nearly as much as I did. This because I read the synopsis and immediately made an assumption about the character William, Dixie's son. What I'm realizing about this author is that even though these stories are easy enjoyable reads, the subtle surprises continually stimulate the story.I made an assumption about William prior to his actual arrival on scene. Welp, to my surprise I loved his introduction and truly wished his opening scene was longer.Yep, ended up really liking William, but the true man of the hour is still Dawson. Dawson has also turned out quite different than I imagined, but obviously in a good way. And the surprise man of the hour, is the return of Julie's ex husband Michael who once again throws Julie's life into complete upheaval. But I certainly can't exclude Julie's daughters. The oldest Colleen, shows up and adds a whole new dimension - which I quite enjoyed.Did not expect it, but enjoyed Book 2 even more than Book 1.

great book
Sunsets And Second Chances: South Carolina Sunsets Book 2 is by Rachel Hanna. Julie had moved to the small island off the South Caroiina shore because she liked the beach and had always wanted to live here. After her divorce, it seemed fate for her to move here. Dawson was there to help her redecorate the cottage and to help heal her heart. Her sister Janine had shown up with their Mother and Janine had stayed. Their mother couldn’t handle Janine any longer and it was time the sisters made up. Is this going to be a quiet time when everyone can rest and relax. Right! Her daughter comes home with a fiancée neither she nor her parents really like, and her ex-husband, girlfriend, and son come as well. Things aren’t going well for Ji ll.

Boring Southern story
The Beach House, first book of this series, moved quickly. This one is dragging and I will not continue series. Although it is short, too expensive to be so boring. Being 50% through this book,I still don't know William's(one of main characters) secret to being gone for so long...only child; did not ring true. Beautiful SC beaches/traditions did not come through in the description nor the Southern locale at all .South Carolina is in title otherwise could be any Southern beach area? Disappointed as Book 1 was so promising!

COVID Escape
COVID-19 has kept me at home for almost a year now. A book like this one, allows me to escape the world of social distancing and ugly politics for a while. Little girls escape with books of princesses and fairy tales. As a very old girl, I escape to the South Carolina shore.

Entertaining read, but ......
I liked this series. What I didn’t like were the subtle cliffhangers. So if you wanted the rest of the stories, you had to buy each and every one for $3.99. After book #4, I finally gave up and read something else!

Even better than the first book
I’m just loving this series, with friendships and relationships, and great personalities involved. Now looking forward to the third book!
