Oster ShedMonster De-Shedding Tool, Fine or Short Coats (DRP-SHED-RPQS)

This deshedding tool worked very well for me. I used it on my dog with a medium coat and was pleased with its performance. I own a defurminator and actually like this better. Easy to use and the price point is much less than other deshedding tools.

Very fast and it holds the hair so very little mess to clean up.

It is great for both dogs and cats. Have used it on labs, corgis, border collies, as well as short-haired cats. The first few uses will likely freak a person out a little bit with the amount of hair that will come off, almost enough to knit a sweater. :) No, seriously, it is a great brush for reducing the amount of pet hair that ends up in the home.

This product advertised itself as made for cats, so much so that there's a cat on the front of the package, but clearly this is not made for cats. I have an American Shorthair and this picks up hardly any of his hair. I'd used a "Love Glove" from Four Paws for a while and while that one really gave me some great results, I'd some times have small fly away balls of hair that I was hoping this "new and improved" device would have prevented, but really this thing picks up less hair than any brush I've ever used on an animal, literally (and that's no hyperbole). Get a "Love Glove" (eww, I know, but still) if you have a short hair cat; I didn't realize mine even had that much hair on his body, little less that much to shed until I started using it.

Best investment I’ve ever made. My kitty loves it and I can’t imagine how hairy my place would be without this tool. Absolute life saver, she purrs the entire time I’m using it and it makes her shed way less…I use it daily.

It works ok. It said it was for short hair, but it doesn't work at all on my little Chihuahua. It didn't say how short the hair could be, so I was disappointed in that. However, my other dog has about an inch long hair length and it works well on her. It was worth the money just for that. Now I just need to find something that works for the really short hair!!
