Great for: individuals with smaller feet, plants, kids. Want something quick and cheapBad for: those that care about high quality finishes. People with larger feet.-Some of the joints are not quite painted black. You probably won't notice unless you're looking at it.-I wish there were black caps or inserts to fill the bolt/screws.With my 10 1/2 shoes, I can only fit two and a half pairs per level. Luckily that's all I really wear

I wanted a stool to sit on and put on my shoes at the front door, and a rack to store a few sets of shoes. This was perfect, the color matched what I was looking for, and the size is like it was designed for the exact purpose and placement. At least with my front door it fits perfectly so that when the door swings inward, this fits between the wall and the door, even when the door is fully opened, which has the added benefit of you not being able to open the door and leave it open until you're done sitting down and putting on your shoes and ready to go, lol.

Winter in snowy north central means boots and shoes, slippers, guests’ stuff and lots of gloves and dry socks at the entry point. We don’t want to deposit on the carpeting the salts and dirt of the winter outside. This bench does the job and fix my space at the front door just right. The bench is steady and gives me a safe place to sit down to change shoes and have extra socks and gloves right in the compartment under the seat. It’s a safety plus for me. I need a walk or cane most of the time. It safer to seat for a few seconds to change shoes and gather my things whether coming in or leaving. The bench is attractive and the bamboo finish is very good. For three ice cream bars and a bag of cheesy snacks my young neighbors put it together in under 15 minutes while I read instructions to them. The giggling made it s fun event. These young women in their 30’s giggled like pre teens as they worked on my bench. I laughed a lot. I’m enjoying my bench!

The two shelves hold most of my 2 kids' shoes (obviously snow boots and cowgirl boots won't stand up between the shelves). The kids have decided that the tray in the bench should hold their socks and hats and mittens, etc. so as to make going outside easier. It's long enough my 6 year old and 2 year old can sit side by side. Sturdy enough that my husband can sit on it without concern. I am glad I chose this shoe bench.

I wasn’t expecting much and knew this came from China, however I was surprised well they came together. I bought two of these and assembled them no problem. I figured they would have some wobble to them or would not be the sturdiest, but I was wrong on both counts. I’m a pretty big guy at 6’2” 245lbs and they are able to support my weight, even picking my feet up and bouncing somewhat. I love the lift up storage area which is great for little items (I put the kids gloves in there). Overall extremely happy and now my kids shoes are not all over my garage. Very happy with my purchase.

It was the perfect find for me. Size was exactly right, sturdy, color, wood Needed it at kitchen door to garage, a place to sit and removed dirty shoes, snowboots. Also put a coat rack, key rack and hooks for purses and backpacks. And supporting 300 pounds was great - it would not collapse if an overweight friend sat on it!

Normally "comes disassembled" or "some assembly required" equates to "some redesign required". Not for this thing. Sturdy, tight, good looking. Using it as desk-side storage for papers, book, tools, whatever. If you like wrestling with rough parts, searching through the packaging for that last screw or fastener, re-cutting or re-drilling misshapen parts - don't buy this: it would be too easy for you. If instead you'd rather open a box and behold good packaging, and find that every fastener has one extra "just in case", no scratches, clear instructions: and usable tools: buy this and enjoy the moment.

Arrived in one box with all parts neatly packaged inside the small storage space, and was easy to assemble. Appears to be sturdy (was able to handle the combined weight of my husband and me, which is over the 300lbs listed) and good quality/value for the price (only non-smooth section was minor splintered wood on the side of one of the lower shelf bars [pictured]; easy enough to remove and sand). Would buy again.

Arrived in a package with not very much padding; when I lifted the package from my doorway I could hear the pieces rattling around inside. Was relieved to find upon opening and inspecting that all the pieces seemed to be intact, save for a very minor scratch on one leg that's not noticeable.we had very limited space, so this is a great option for tight spaces. I was worried about sitting on it at first, but after a few weeks I see that it's alright. The shelf is long enough to fit 3 pairs of adult shoes (ladies) comfortably, so 6 pairs total. My toddler's winter boots barely fit in height-wise, but they do.The compartment is wide, but very shallow. All we keep in there really is my husband's hat and gloves, and sometimes wallet and keys.I took some felt and added strips to the inside of the door, just to get a soft close. I recommend everyone do that if they can.The only really down side about this is the price. the exact same bench without the compartment is 50 bucks less, and that doesn't seem reasonable. but over all it looks great and works well.
