This book, if you let it, will change everything in your heart. Especially with all that we deal with today that seems natural. This book I consider a weapon, I’ve read it 3 times and will continue to read it whenever comparison comes back to fight. I walked through this with a mentor and have never been the same since! And will now walk through it with a girl I’m mentoring. God is faithful and loving, and everything communicated through this book I hear His voice through. Thank you Lisa Bevere! Easily one of the best books I’ve read.

This book is well-written for women who are searching for more in their walk with God! I highly recommend this book; very thought-provoking as well. The book helps women look deeper into themselves, for growth in their Christian walk!

This book is incredible and I am encouraging anyone and everyone to read this. There is no time like the present with all of the social media outlets for people to present themselves one way but be completely opposite. People are constantly posting the glamour and the not the real life scenarios. So many times, we can get caught up in the trap of comparison and competition. This is exactly what the enemy wants us to do so we focus more on ourselves and not our Creator. God made us all unique and has given us different gifts and talents. We as the Body of Christ need to encourage one another in our diversity of gifts and not try to be someone else. The world is waiting on us to take our position of authority knowing who we are in Christ and fulfill the Great Commission!

I knew nothing about Lisa Bevere nor ‘Without Rival...’This book touched my heart so much that I not only read but put it on my audible and listened to help me before I fell asleep. This is a book that shows you your giants and that Jesus is in control of it all! Lisa gives you questions after every Chapter and even if you do t write it down, the questions stay in your head. The one man, besides Jesus and David, that I admire the most is Daniel. He knew the law and knew he couldn’t pray to his God, but he did! And that’s what we need to do as Christians in today’s world! If we don’t embrace Christ then we are no better than someone who knows nothing about The Lord!! I’m so happy I have the book on audible, because the enemy is always ready to strike and if the Word of God is in your ears, he may try attacking more BUT YOU have The Lord..and Lisa will give you the scriptures to back you up! Remember the devil was just a fallen angel..he KNOWS he is defeated at the Cross!! Praise the Lord!! Great book

Lisa Bevere believes God has a purpose for each of our lives. Often, women struggle with living out this calling for various reasons. The author takes us through some of the obstacles we throw in God’s way, not the least of which is comparing ourselves to other women and treating each other as competitors. Bevere begins the book with the most necessary thing to living out our destiny, the recognition of who we are in Christ. Interestingly enough, only after revealing who we are to the Lord, does she disclose some of the characters of God himself. This seems backward to what most of us have been taught. It is only after the author walks us through the hindrances many of us face to living our calling, such as letting fear rule our life instead of love, that we come to the chapter that uncovers why Bevere placed the discovery of our identity before that of God’s. This most captivating chapter tells the story of a martyr named Photina. This woman of God, along with her sisters and sons, lived out her faith in an almost unbelievable manner. After we learn Photina’s final fate, Bevere reveals how this martyr’s life of faith began. (I will not give anything away by telling you who it is. You will have to read the book.) As we traverse the road to Photina’s conversion, the reader comprehends the importance of unveiling ourselves to God. In recognizing who we are to Him, we come to understand who He is. Bevere teaches basic truths of living out our destiny in Christ while helping us realize real obstacles we face in accomplishing it. Any student of the Word will appreciate her reliance upon scripture as the basis for her advice. Even though this book was written for women, its message rings true for both genders.

This book reveals how God wants to love his children. Too long have we allowed the divisive ideology to stop the spread of the Gospel because only half of us are supposedly qualified to be used in Ministry? Lisa presents the reality that all have been redeemed by Christ and all are called to serve in any capacity that God chooses. God does not have to meet our narrow standards. He assigns with Kingdom authority. This book puts Satan in his place and out of our head trash!! Give a copy to everyone you know!

We used this book for a missionary ladies Bible study. It reminded us who we are and what we can accomplish by walking in that knowledge. Lisa's stories were practical, relatable, and many times comical. The scriptures she referenced were, of course, life giving. The book (and the Holy Spirit working through it) sparked us to speak words of life to one another and encourage each other not to listen to the lies of the enemy. We read individually and then met together to watch the DVD and go over the discussion questions. The questions made us really think about what we'd read and, by actually discussing them, it made us dig deeper, providing more revelation rather than just head knowledge. This book is a great balance for those who spend a lot of time serving, praying for, and generally focusing on others. It was a very edifying and energizing tool for us.

I so love this book!! This is really a book every woman should read...go get a copy for yourself, your friends, mom, aunts, ...I love all of Lisa's books but this one is definitely one of my favorites! The message is so powerful! We don't have to compete and compare...we are all unique, one of a kind...and God has a unique plan and purpose for each and everyone of us! Let's stop seeing each other as enemies, and start encouraging one another to be the women God created us to be! WITHOUT RIVAL!!!
