Pelican Air 1485 Case With Foam (Black)

Bought this case to contain my Canon EOS 6D, a 70-150mm lens, and an array of attachments, plugins, filters etc. that make up my astrophotography kit. The case itself is fantastic and the pluck-and-pull foam is a quick way to create a custom space, though my preference would be to order a custom foam cutout, maybe later. It did the job keeping everything contained and happy for a cross-country eclipse chasing trip, so mission accomplished!

Light and sturdy! I use it for my camera bodies and lenses and never worry about them inside. The latches are also easier than the original cases.

Seems well made. There were no apparent flaws from the 4 that I received. Foam is easy to pluck and form the outline you want.

Well made as expected from pelican but this is very small.

Awesome case and fast delivery

I bought this case so my camera and lenses would be secure, dry and dust . I go ATVing a lot and take nature photos. After a long dusty ride. The case was absolutely dust and dirt free. No condensation either in the case. Well worth the money rather than buying all new camera equipment.Plus all the foam inside kept everthing in its place so no other equipment can get scratched or scuffed up.

Works well for storing and transporting survey rover equipment.

on this air case, pelican uses the extension handle as the only side handle to carry and lift with when retracted. beats me in the leg when going down the plane aisle and have pinched my knuckles plenty of times between the handle and the case when putting it in the overhead bin or slinging in my car. it is now used as a storage box. won't buy anymore until there is a design change that fixes this. I'm not the only one who thinks so, my friends who have tried this particular design have said the same thing and we are all true blue pelican users.

As per my expectations with Pelican, this is a great, quality product and I will look them Pelican for future purchases of this type.

Appears to be very cheap material and is very expensive for what you get.

Pelican cases are great but are expensive with the US$ exchange rate. Still the best cases out there.
