As good as the previous ones
I love it when I flip through a recipe book and immediately spot loads of recipes I want to try. As always, Miguel Barclay has created simple, tasty-looking recipes that don't make you groan with the list of ingredients required (not surprisingly, given the budget theme). I am a veggie, so the amount of dishes I can eat is a bonus, but my hubby isn't, so the meat and fish ones aren't redundant to me. I am glad that most of the recipes are back to being one portion, though - it's much easier to scale up than down. Miguel's books are my absolute favourite cookbooks - can't wait to try my first recipe from this one!

So easy
I have them all apart from the Vegan one, I make at least 5 meals a week from the books,its easy to double up for the two of us. There are some I tweek but the ingredients are accessible and my weekly shopping has been cheaper, the Green book only had one ingredient that I hadn't heard of and that was the crispy chilli oil, but I ordered two jars online from an Asian grocery store, I absolutely love these books and wouldn't be without them

All Hail Pound Meals!!
Another one for the collection! Ok, I may not live to the ‘budget’ of these books but the simplicity of recipes makes meals quick and easy on a work day evening. Having got them all at this point, they are certainly a go to when inspiration is at 0% or I have minimal things in the house. I tried to live on the first book for portion size, while they are decent, you may have to tweak it to your dietary needs to feel satiated a bit longer. If you are not a big eater then the portion size is perfect.

A lovely book. Back to single portions, which I love. Thank you Miguel. A great addition to my other, much loved and used, Miguel Barclay books. A book of delicious looking recipes, using simple, easy to locate ingredients. Loving it already and can't wait to try it out, especially the pulled banana skins!!!

Great new collection not sure how 'green'
Firstly I love Miguel's books and I have them all. This was always going to be a purchase for me and I am happy. I am also really pleased that he has returned for the serves 1 person formula for most of the recipes as I usually use his books when I am eating alone.Not 100% convinced by the green credentials beyond the one banana peel recipe but that is not why I bought the book. Another good collection of easy, affordable recipes for one (or multiples of one!) I will continue to buy his books

Habe mir mehr davon versprochen.
Ich folge dem Autor schon seit einiger Zeit und einige Gerichte aus dem Buch haben mich zum Kauf motiviert.Das Kochbuch finde ich leider etwas enttäuschend. Vielleicht bin ich nicht die Zielgruppe, aber die Gerichte sind absolut simpel aufgebaut und dadurch durchwegs nichts Besonders.Für Singels, die noch wenig Kontakt mit (gesünderem) Kochen hatten, ist dieses Buch jedoch sicherlich zu empfehlen.
