I'm so old and I don't know how I lived without this for so long. This is the best investment in to kitchen tools I ever made. When used right it keeps blades sharp and useful in the kitchen as well as chisels and plainer and many other tools. Great item that works as it should. Value for money. I'm very happy with it.I have quite a few of knife sharpeners in my life yet this one is the best of them all.

Much better than my previous bench grinder. Only down side is it comes with a eu 2 pin plug. Requires adaptor to fit gb 3 pin socket.Sellers site does not tell you this. Ì can still recommend this product, tool holder good but has small brackets under neath which prevent you from using at a cute angle for sharpening skme tools.

I was so looking forward to a cheap sharpener that could replace the arduous task of sharpening knives by hand, expectations were low given the competition in the market and pricing by comparison.At almost half the price of the nearest competitor I was expecting plastic frames and bearings that would need constant lubrication, but even that was far too high an expectation here, the main shaft flops around like a fish out of water, holes are incomplete, the main rocker switch for selecting direction is hanging out and the materials used for the grinding and polishing wheels are certainly not designed to last long at all.the £90.60 price tag is a joke when you see the parts, how poorly they are assembled and the shockingly low quality of which they are made.Not in any way is it fit for purpose, I only hope that the positive reviews are genuine people who genuinely purchased a good example of this budget sharpener, but given the other negative reviews showing similar faults to mine, I am sceptical.

Variable speed is good, grinding wheel not very balanced and water tray broke after 1 week.

Exactly as described at an excellent price. Does a super job of sharpening chisels and plane irons. The stone wheel provided on this particular model (several other were available) is a little courser than a previous version I had, but it could easily be changed. I've found that final honing of cutting edge is best done gently with an oil-stone. Overall, this wet grinder does a great job, saving much effort and time.

It does what it says, sharpens my old chisels to a lovely honed edge, as well as the plane blades. It takes time but the edge on the tool is better than I have ever managed to get from an oilstone no matter how long or how fine the grit is

ho letto molte recensioni discordanti... chi ha trovato eccellente la macchina chi l'ha rotta subito o proprio non è riuscito ad usarla: direi che è una macchinetta economica (a quel prezzo solo la mola di ricambio di qualità) corpo in plastica (non fa la ruggine!) è adatta ad affilare scalpelli coltelli e ferri in uso non scuri o fare il filo a piastre di ferro tanto per affilarle, ci vuole un pò di garbo e pazienza spande un pò di acqua a velocità elevate ( ma x l'affilatura bisognerebbe usare giri ridotti!) basta mettere uno straccio sul tavolo.. la caramella in pelle va inzuppata di pasta abrasiva prima dell'utilizzo altrimenti se usata a secco si sgretola al primo utilizzo, ma tutte queste norme valgono per ogni affilatrice anche quelle da 1000euro! solamente penso che chi presume di dover spendere cifre considerevoli per affilare i propri ferri sia molto capace a farlo e usi l'attrezzo con una certa frequenza. io sono artigiano ,ma non ebanista, per tanto sono riuscito a trovare giusto prezzo/ qualità ( anzi, direi qualità economica) riesco ad affilare correttamente per uso professionale coltelli, sgorbie e scalpelli... poi se uno crede di specchiarsi nel filo di una katana credo che avrà difficoltà oggettive anche con attrezzi più cari e pietre diamantate a mano. l'affilatura a regola d'arte è fatta dall'individuo non dalla macchina! io non ho riscontrato nessun lasco, nessun andamento anomalo delle ruote, unica modifica che ho fatto è sostituire i pomoli dei blocchi asta d'appoggio con delle viti per minore ingombro( ci sbattevo coi coltelli) una minima rettifica della mola avviene naturalmente al primo utilizzo!io sono molto contento!

De slijpsteen had oorspronkelijk een te groot gat, dit is met cement kleiner gemaakt, hierdoor draait de steen niet mooi rond. De lederen polijstschijf (een dun laagje leder op een kunststof schijfje geplakt) slingert hinderlijk. De handleiding geeft weinig aanwijzingen over het gebruik, ik werd een stuk wijzer van een gebruiksaanwijzing van een duurdere, vrijwel soortgelijke machine. Misschien had ik beter die kunnen kopen....
