Quality Product, very easy to mount and dismount, Pricey
You get what you pay for.... much more robust than the popular plastic mount company.Love the mount and dismount feature of this design.I have used this for several months in my open cockpit light sport airplane. Lots of vibration and wind.I have the tube mount and it works fantastic. Both Android 10" and Ipad Mini 4 with no issues.Comes with two sets of finger grips, small Philips screw to change them out. Used the longer fingers for the Android with case and the shorter fingers for the Ipad Mini without case.I would not hesitate to purchase again but I do not foresee this robust product breaking.

Not as user Friendly as the case.
Updated Review: July 17, 2016Within a week of posting my first review I was contacted by the MyGoFlight team to resolve my issue. It was explained to me that I was using a Generation 1 flex arm with a generation 3 Sport Universal Cradle, and that I was absolutely correct in my assumptions of expecting products in the same family to be seamlessly compatible. They went on to explain that the mating surfaces of the Generation 3 products are made from aluminum for added durability and versatility for operations in different regions of the world. Without going into much details the Gen 1 products were made of plastic which absorbed moisture and over time it became difficult to dis/assemble the FlexArm from various accessories. Nick and the crew went into much detail to explain the challenges they are having and the innovative approach they are taking towards solving them. At the end of the conversation I was offered a complete rig (Flex Arm, and Sport Cradle) to test and evaluate. The flex arm is sturdier and appears to have a little more range of motion than the first generation. I used the universal sport cradle with the smaller posts to hold my iPad Air 2 that's housed in a SUPCASE [Heavy Duty] Unicorn Beetle PRO Series case and I am very pleased with how well it holds the iPad, and the ease of which I’m able to removing/installing the universal cradle. I’m happy the MyGoFlight team got me a replacement rig because I’ve grown accustomed to having my EFD mounted to the side window whenever I fly. I would highly recommend getting this product. If you should have any issues, reach out the Customer support team, they are very personable and responsive- speaking from experience my satisfaction was their main/only concern!Original Review: May 14, 2016Difficult to mount to suction cup flex arm. I upgraded from an iPad 2 which was housed in the MyGoFlight hard shell case to an iPad Air 2. I thought it would be better to purchase a universal mount for better versatility which resulted in me buying the universal mount. I have the original suction cup mount and found it difficult to connect the two. I now have to remove the mount from the iPad in order to connect it to the FlexArm. It requires so much force that I'm afraid I'll crack the iPad screen if I attempt to snap them together with the universal mount installed on the iPad. I am wondering if this is an issue because I'm using the original FlexArm, and if the universal mounts are more compatible with the new lower profile FlexArm.

Try it before you buy it.
It does not allow me to adjust the attitude of the tablet; it sets too vertical. Also the retainer tabs does not appropriately hold the tablet securely; the tablet slides out. Lastly, the universal joint swivels/turns too easily. Not pleased with this purchase.

Pricey, but well built.
Purchased with the suction mount. Holds the iPad 11 (without a case) very well. No issues during flight. Legs do not intrude on to screen. Just make sure to mount the legs so that it doesn't press down on the volume buttons.

VERY HIGH QUALITY, WORTH THE $$
This Cradle is INCREDIBLY well built and durable - it's also the only one that fits an iPad Pro Max 12.9" with and without a case. The Cradle comes with two sets of attachment arms so that you can easily fit it around the Ipad by itself or with a protective case on. The Cradle is very solid and weighs next to nothing. If you're looking for quality, this cradle is totally worth the cost. Also, the guys at MYgoFLIGHT will provide warranty/customer service for parts purchased on Amazon, and are speedy to respond to any inquiries. Definitely recommend this product/company.

Too Fiddly
I have used this cradle for mounting an iPad 9.7 in a Cessna 185. Between the iPad and the two thumb screws on the mount, I have too few hands (the usual 2) to get it all put together conveniently. Every time I use it, I have to loosen and re-tighten the thumb screws multiple times. I don't like to start out a flight swearing at the equipment. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Anyone who thinks so, please post a video.I'd recommend getting a mount specifically made for your particular tablet. Or better yet, get a RAM mount for about a third the price.
