This is a timeless remedy for so many skin type issues. I’ve used Black Ointment as a child from a different company name. I bought this for a scalp discolored scabby thing. Let me tell you…the smell will stick around for a while. Don’t be alarmed because this is Black Ointment’s normal characteristic. If you use before bed like me, you may want to bandaid over small areas or sleep on things with added protection. Use socks or whatever. Great stuff. Stinks, but this was a staple in our house growing up!!Update: When I first used this, I didn’t have any allergic reactions. However! A month ago I put some on a skin tag at my waist line…Not only did it kind of burn my skin after 24 hrs, it caused itchiness all over my body. Underarms and all around my waist line. Intense intermittent itchiness for about 1.5 weeks. Just beware that there may be a half life for some of the ingredients or something changed in the ointment or with me. But I’m the throwing it away!

This is a product you should keep in your medicine cabinet! It has natural ingredients to treat a wide variety of topical issues. It is especially beneficial for "drawing out" foreign objects out from under the skin, plus many other uses.

I really don't know how to review this. I used it one time, and it seemed to help the crack in my foot overnight, but I couldn't stand the smell. It permeated through my sock and shoe. I only used it one time.

This product, Black ointment is nothing like my parents used on me and my siblings back on the farm in the 40s and 50s this is totally aborant to put on your skin it has the strongest obnoxious order..I want to say the delivery was Just fine, the delivery person did his job and has nothing to do with this very stink product. I'm sorry to have to tell you this as I did order it thing it was the same ointment that my parents used on me and my siblings, boy was I wrong.I didn't use any of it as you would never be able to wash this order off of your skin.I would like to return it but I know that you would not accept it after being opened although never used.Thank you for reading my complaint.Norm Ehnes , longmont ,Colorado

It smells like barbeque to me. Also, I had an allergic reaction to something in it. Check the ingredients, just in case.
