I have a large dog crate that I keep outdoors and for my cats as a catio. I removed the bottom plastic pan and replaced it with these tiles. They were easy to assemble and cut to size. Now, when it rains, the water drains perfectly and the cats have a firm footing. The crate is kept off the ground, attached to my bedroom window that has a cat door so the cats can go in and out as they choose. I placed an soft outdoor pad on top of the tiles so the cats have a soft bed while they enjoy the outdoors.

I placed these tiles by my back door to prevent my dogs from continually digging there. I apppreciate that grass can grow through the tiles and I can mow over them or use the trimmer without disturbing them. Occasionally my horses are in the yard and they have walked on them repeatedly without any damage to the tiles! The red color does fade, not a negative for me.

I love the patio squares but they were a little pricey. Only reason I purchased them from Amazon is because I needed more and the place that I had originally purchased them were sold out!
