Love it
This is a must have. Forget using hand held buffers / polishers etc. This buffer is a god send for the little nooks and crannies of a guitar. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to polish the clear coat of the horns of a strat. This makes it so simple. Just let the big forgiving buffer wheels conform to the contours of the guitar. I use it for skateboard decks too. This unit likely would be just as much of a life saver for ANY item with complex surfaces that needs polished. The only catch is that it needs to be something that you can lift, hold, and maneuver. The ONLY negative I can say about this is that it doesn't come with a base. You need to mount it to something. It comes with drawings and instructions to build your own base but I decided to go a different route. I found a cheap used dresser for sale on a classifieds app and drilled the required mounting holes into it. Then I bought some hardware and bolted it on. Works great. This does take some practice too. You definitely can burn through clearcoat quick using these wheels (especially on corners). Also, the wheels can grab at the item you're polishing. I had a skateboard fly across the room when a wheel caught a corner. Luckily no one was hurt and the board was not damaged. This is all the nature of the beast though and not in any way any complaint towards this specific product. Just be careful and prepared with proper safety precautions and you'll be fine.
