A perfect rom-com story but one that have substance and heat
Brendan is the ultimate romantic. He believes in love and wants everyone to find it. He started OTP dating app to help people find the one and even set his sister Darcy up with her girlfriend Elle. Unfortunately he hasn’t been as lucky in love…yet though is optimistic that his match is out there, he just needs to find her.Annie has given up on love. She had a series of disappointment while dating and has sworn off trying again. She is unhappy with her job, her life and her lack of social life. Her best friend Darcy lives across the country and she is heading to Seattle to tell her she is moving to London for a new job (one she isn’t even excited for). Darcy however is away with Elle and so Brendan offers to be tour guide to show her around until she returns. They have an instant attraction but try to keep it to themselves. When Annie tells Brendan that she thinks romance is dead, he takes it upon himself to convince her otherwise by drawing inspiration from various movie rom-coms. What started off as a ploy to show her love is alive turns their attraction into much more. As their feelings grows deeper Annie breaks the news that she is moving to London and can't get involved with him. When Darcy returns, she along with Elle and their friend Margot help Brendan to woo Annie into loving both the city of Seattle and himself in the hopes that Annie might take a chance and stay after all and finally give love a chance. But Annie is scared to take that leap and doesn't trust that Brendan would catch her if she did.I adored Written in the Stars and loved this just as much. I have developed a connection to these characters and enjoyed returning to their world. Annie was a complex character and I loved her sassy personality and Brendan was loving and joyful. The dynamics and spark they had was hot and beautiful. The path of love never does run smooth but this story tugged at the heartstrings, provided plenty of laughs while developing all the characters in the series. Another perfect rom-com story but one that have substance and heat. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great
Written In The Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur is one of my all time favourite books, so I was really looking forward to reading this.In this book we get the perspective of Brendon, Darcy's brother from the first book. Having already met this character we know he is an absolute romantic. When Darcy's best friend Annie comes to town Brendon is more than happy to show her around Seattle. Annie, disheartened by her previous experiences has decided to take a break from looking for love. Who better to restore her faith in love than the dating app owner and general prince charming?I really loved this book. It was a nice switch in roles I thought to have the guy be the romantic one and the girl be the slightly more cynical character. I thought that Brendon was so utterly sweet and that he absolutely deserved to find love. Alexandria's writing is so good and I spent so much time laughing and yelling at this book, it was so immersive. I would absolutely recommend and I can't wait to see what this author comes out with next.

A wonderful romcom
Hang the Moon is the second book in the Written in the Stars series, but each one focuses on a different couple and works well as a standalone. The first book is devoted to Elle and Darcy, however in this second instalment we see a friends-to-lovers romance between Annie and Brendon, Darcy’s best friend and her brother. Set in Seattle, Brendon tries to convince Annie to move to the city by showing her points of interest, beauty spots, restaurants, cafés and touristy highlights and it was really interesting visiting these places with them. Hang the Moon is a delight to read, I flew through it and didn’t want it to end. Highly recommended if you want a light summer read with great characters and an adorable romance. I’m looking forward seeing where the third book takes us.
