Update: Pictures of Chicks at 18 Weeks
Update: I rehomed a couple of cockerels and these are the ones I kept. I love the variety you get with barnyard mixes.Previous: I couldn't be happier. As a first time hatcher there was a good chance none would hatch. I had an issues with the incubator or I probably would've had better success. I received 2 pale green eggs, 2 large white eggs, the rest were varying shades of brown. One of the white eggs didn't have any development past day 5. All the rest were fertile and developing until around day ten. The lid of the incubator wasn't closed properly and it lost a good bit of heat and humidity that took about 30 mins to recover. After that I count myself lucky that any made it. I have 3 of the black and cream colored chicks, and one yellow chick, one w/a distinct chipmunk stripe and a fuzzier chipmunk stripe. Day 5 and they're all doing well. The one bit of information I wish the seller would disclose is what breeds/hybrids the chicks might be.

Do NOT Use This Seller!
Do NOT purchase fertilized eggs from this seller. I am very experienced when it comes to hatching eggs, I've been trained through Penn State Ag, and have hatched HUNDREDS of eggs in my classroom over the past 15 years. I always have a 100% hatch rate and our embryology project is always very successful. This year our local hatchery had no fertilized eggs to sell, so I tried ordering a dozen from this seller. 7 out of the 14 eggs were not fertilized. Out of the 7 remaining eggs, 6 of them had bacteria inside and were dead within a few days. I have never had an issue like this and now I have 300 disappointed sixth graders. Using this seller was a HUGE mistake and a waste of money.

Fairly successful hatch rate. 50/50.
We had 6 fertile chicks out of 12 so fairly good #. Unfortunately 3 didnt hatch and I believe were shrink wrapped. I would have helped them if it had known. This was my first time incubating chicks. A lot of learning. We have three adorable chicks!

Only had three eggs hatch
They didn’t come with any detail about what type eggs or how long to incubate. Just a purchase paper. We got a dozen and have one had two small eggs hatch and one regular size white egg hatch. So 3 out of 12 hatched. I wish we had more info on if they were all fertile when shipped, as well as the type of chicken that laid them, so we could know how long to leave them in the incubator. They all came well boxed and well packed. But I’m sad that only three hatched. If that’s normal then why not send more than just 12 eggs. I was hoping for more like 10-12 chicks 🐣.

Good looking eggs.
1 arrived broken. Good variety in color and size. First candling: All 11 seem fertile.6 of the 11 hatched.

Excellent shipment
I received 14 eggs on the dozen order. All arrived well packed and unbroken. After candling, all but 1 went into the incubator. One had a hairline crack in the shell that couldn't be seen unless it was candled. A couple were a little dirty, but nothing major. I'll just wait and see how the hatch goes in 19 days. The shipper did their part. It's now day 7 in the incubator, and out of 13 eggs to begin with, 10 appear to be viable and growing. Can't complain about that at all. The rest is up to Mother Nature.

Not the greatest succes
Perfectly packaged but only 1 chicken hatched out of 12 eggs and little doubt about the freshness of the eggs since they were shipped the moment I ordered while I would think it takes a while to collect fresh eggs from the coop(s). Also it was said that delivery would be taking more than a week while I had the eggs delivered 2 days after I place my order…Only 4 were fertilised of which one eventually came out.

Not one egg hatched.
Eggs were in transit for five days instead of two. We waited 22 days, and not one egg hatched. When we cracked them open, not one was fertile. We now have to break a sad broody hen. Would not recommend or buy again.
