300PCS Small High-Carbon Steel Barbed Fishing Hooks with Holes, 10 Specification

I bought this set last year when my 10-year-old son asked me to start fishing with him. I'm a beginner myself, so I didn't want to spend a lot on fancy gear. This kit was perfect for us. It comes with 300 hooks, and there are 10 different sizes. We caught a lot of small fish (bluegill, perch). My son loved it. What's good: Lots of hooks for very little money. Many sizes to choose from — good for learning. The small barbed hooks work fine for panfish. What you should know: These are basic, budget hooks. Not for giant trophy fish. Some of the very small sizes are delicate (don't force them). Bottom line: If you're a beginner or fishing with a kid, this set is a great way to start. You get plenty of hooks to practice with, and you won't cry if you lose one in a tree. We had fun, and that's what matters.

I recently bought this collection for my nine year-old grandson. The hooks are quite small like many of commented on, but for the size fish he's catching, I believe they will be fine. Since there are 300 hooks, I don't think he'll be needing to buy any for ages. The little case that they come in is also nicely designed so that the different sizes do not mix. It is not a very sturdy case, but I believe if handled carefully and not left out in the sun to warp, it should last for quite a while. The hooks appear very sharp and well manufactured. They are made out of steel and if kept dry, they should not rust, but in Missouri's humidity, if left outside or where the humidity is high, they may turn orange.

This is a pack of 10 different sizes of hooks, I did take pictures of the smallest and the largest of them. All other hooks are between those sizes. They seem to be very strong for their size. I bought these for the smaller size hooks for catching smaller perch. I believe the medium to larger ones will be great for crappie or smaller bass. They are just hooks only, there is no line already attached, so you have to do make your own knots, so for anyone that is familiar with these it will be very easy to use. Over all, great assortment of hooks. We'll worth the money.

these are mighty small. you will be able to catch your own minnows for your bait. even the largest size is small. may be useful for catching that small blue gill stealing worms from your larger more useful hook.
