If you have a compressor where air doesn't leak continuously at the pressure switch but ONLY when the compressor shuts off, then you need a check valve like this one. This one works fine on Craftsman 80 gallon compressor, model 921.16485E (WLA4708065). For any compressor just look up the parts list and verify the check valve's inlet and outlet sizes. This one is exactly as described -- 1/2" NPT thread to tank, 1/2" compression thread to motor, 1/8" threading to unloader valve.

Correct check valve for older Craftsman two stage compressor. Confirm configuration before purchasing. Listed as head pressure valve...it is not

Works great, it seems to be, good quality, for a great price.

It has been in the compressor for a few months and the tank does not leak or run frequently anymore. I wish I would have read up on this earlier. The compressor used to run every 10-15 minute without usage due to the leak, now it is longer than what I care to wait to see when it will kick back on.
