Initial taste was too heavy for my family. We thought it was ok the second day if we would pour an entire pitcher, so the water that sat in the cartridge would be diluted. After a few days and flushing it out a lot the taste was acceptable to everyone. Now we don't think about it, but are happy to have the added finish/remineralization. PPM without the RO was 300, with about 3, with this finishing cartridge about 30.

Just let your water run for a minute before you start collecting it so that it clears out the water that has been sitting in the filter since the last time you used it. Then it works perfect!

Just thought i give it a try and while it doesn't really do a lot of filtering, adding minerals makes the water taste so much better! Worth the buy. Replacing it once a year. Makes me drink a lot more water :-)

I really liked this filter when I first installed it on my RO system. The pH was at about 9.0 initially but after 3 months, it is down to about 6.5 - 7.0 for pH. I would have thought I would get at least 6 month out of it before it dropped that much. For $40 it should be better.

We've been using products from this company for over a year now and until this filter our experience was good. Unfortunately this changed that... this filter is completely worthless for adding anything to the water. The previous filter was very good and lasted about 6 months, this one wasn't even remotely the same as the 1st. I tried to attach pictures of the results from the test but apparently Amazon doesn't accept the format now. First time for that also.. Anyway, this filter from the very beginning was different from the 1st. The 1st alkaline filter was at 8.5 to 9.0 always until the very end. This one started at ans stayed at 6.0. Never got higher, never got lower. This is concerning because we use this with their counter top system and the water comes out at that Ph. So I'm not sure if we just got a old filter or what but I didn't change the Ph at all. This is rather a concerning situation because we came to this company because of our initial experience. And even bought the whole house heavy metal system. So total we've spent just under 2k with them. Now I question whether this system is actually working how it should... I guess we're going to have to research again and find another company to get our purification products through...
