My niece needs a microscope for a gram stain ing project. Is it worth it?

You didn't mention her age. I got this for my soon to be 6 year old granddaughter, who has an avid interest in science. I think it's worth it, but if it's for a one-time project and she's not going to pursue more science other than school requirements, you might find something cheaper of decent quality. The reviews I read are all extremely favorable, so if you want to invest in this, it will probably take her through her current as well as future projects.

Am I able to move the deck forward/backward and left to right to see all areas of the slid
